Am I the only one freaking out waiting for this?? I haven't even finished the last one. Life got super busy for a bit and I'm only now starting to enjoy the last issue and finish the puzzles but I can't focus on it completely because the new one is coming! I also just orderd The Weeping Book and the anticipation is building!

Yes. You are the only one. I have certainly not been counting days or swearing at my empty mailbox or thinking of the NYT crossword as a cardboard cigarette compared to the sweet, sweet euphoric satisfaction of deciphering one of the Architect's puzzles... I'm fine. Really.

I too just recently ordered the Weeping Book....I needed something to sate my need for MPC content...and constantly trolling the MPC site for any signs of change in shipping date are not helping.
I keep going back to Harvest Time, but since I seem to have reached a dead end with that...I thought the Weeping Book would be a good fix. Hopefully it ships soon.

Anticipation? Not really, already got it a couple weeks ago. The puzzles were really obtuse but they went the extra mile by sending me a copy tailored to my area. The name change to Penny Saver I'm not crazy about but I wonder if I could use any of the actual coupons included. It didn't arrive in a box like I thought it would but it can't be cheap paying all these kids to hand deliver them. I tried interrogating the kid who stuffed mine in the mailbox but he looked at me like I was crazy. Nice training MPC!
I'm having some trouble linking the curios to the issue. They didn't get hand delivered by the kid but were already in the mailbox. Mysterious! And again, top notch tailoring. One was a KFC flyer, another was a Chinese food menu and they even had an electricity bill with my name on it! It came in a real looking envelope and letterhead and everything! I've tried everything to figure out if it's a cipher or related puzzle. I wonder if I were to send a fake cheque back in the envelope if that would do anything. It's tough to work on it late into the night as my power has been shut off for some reason. They didn't send me my bill this month though! The only curio I'm not sure about despite how in depth they've personalized this experience was the "letter" from my "mom" about my great aunt Agnes dying. It looked just like her hand writing! How they copied it so perfectly, I can't figure out. Though maybe they had my mom write it since she called me to yell at me for missing the "funeral". They could afford to get my parents in on this? Did they set up a whole live event for me to go to? That's bang for the buck! I'm sorry I ignored it. I just thought the date was a clue or cipher or something. They should lower some of the immersion to let us know if live events are going to happen.
Overall, really cool, though nothing like was promised on the website. Though how they could pull all this off for the amount they are asking for...Wow!

I have a tracking number! Are you sure? The order of the issues changed on the status page for me, so that Gods of Madness is no longer at the top of the list. I'm really not expecting this to ship until the end of the month or later. |
