Perhaps an obnoxious request, but is ere a chance we can set a formal or informal expiration on posts within a thread that are just people excited and watching tracking information? Some threads for recent new experiences and C&C have pages and pages of just shipping updates. It's fun and informative when something is new, but after the initial release the actual content and discussion about that is probably what people are heading to the forum for but have to dig a bit. This was inspired by my own recent experience with John Augur haha. Decided to make this a thread instead of just reaching out to a mod in case other people saw value in keeping the "I have a shipping confirmation!" posts alive. Or have recommendations of when it would be safe to give the posts the chop. Or for a mod to say "that's too much work, stop."

I must admit that I've thought about this as an issue as well, only because of content getting buried as you mentioned. However, I do see some value in shipping updates because it can give people who are actually having real shipping issues some evidence to use if they need to contact the MPC about a package going missing. In a sense, shipping is half of the process with both the Experiences and C&C, with the other half being opening the package and enjoying the contents within. The problem, and I freely admit to being guilty of this, is that it can be very easy to be impatient when a tracking number gets assigned and yet a package hasn't actually been shipped because the tracking number was generated close to a weekend. I also, as someone who has very rarely shipped packages to people, did not know how tracking numbers and how package shipping worked from a business perspective in general before getting involved with the MPC, and now that I do I understand the rhythm of how and when packages arrive.
One thing I wonder is if it would make any sense to start new threads for each new C&C issue and experience specifically for shipping issues. It would allow for posts about shipping, which I do think could be important for reasons I mentioned above, without clogging up posts that are geared more towards content.

I feel your pain.
There's no automated means to do this. For the C&C Issues, we do try to keep the pre-shipment and arrival hype isolated to the "Anticipation" threads. Retrospect shows me the value of keeping such communication in anticipation threads for the first run of MPC Experiences, as well.
My personal preference isn't to delete posts, but to move them to newly created anticipation threads. Unfortunately, I can't promise a time-frame in which this can be accomplished with historic posts. I will certainly keep it in mind with Filigree in Shadow, and future experiences.
Thanks!
