Pretty sure it's "Gnus of Madness"... heh... news. Homonym jokes.

I notice it is referenced as "[REDACTED IMAGE]" in the plain-text version of the email. There are a few things to point out: First, you've noticed that the Gods of Madness (or Gnus of Madness) is labelled as "[Redacted Image]" in the plain text version; did you also notice that there is a line that states "Pictures speak louder than words. You can quote us on that." in the plain text version of the email? Is there more to the pictures? Is there code behind the pictures? Are the pictures encoded for accessibility purposes that have a text descriptor we don't see? Is there more to the quotes? Are they cryptic clues? Second, in the email from Feb 7 the unsubscribe message was slightly altered: "You are receiving this note because you are a myoneember of The Mysterious Package Company. If you no longer wish to receive messages from the Curator, you may unsubscribe instantly." Is myoneember a simple spelling mistake? Is it an anagram (been memory)? Is it a key? Third, since we are looking at plain text... if you look at the plain text of the Feb 7 message there is also a hidden message in there: NOTHING TO SEE HERE...
..as this is plain text. Hello, are you actually reading the newsletter in plain text? Did you know that we are releasing information on Volume Four of Curios and Conundrums this Friday? Well, that is because you are reading plain text. You know something most people do not!
If you ARE reading this in plain text, please send a message to Member Services at concierge@mysteriouspackage.com and include "Angus Likes Plain Text" as the subject. Thank you, now... back to what everyone else is seeing. I sent an email to Member Services and received their generic "We are busy" email.

A related question....
I noticed that Volume 3 was also given a title on this forum - "Madness in the Library." Was this something that was identified in the run up to V3? I don't recall seeing it anywhere...

I'm pretty certain that "myoneember" is an anagram of "MY BEER OMEN".

A related question.... I noticed that Volume 3 was also given a title on this forum - "Madness in the Library." Was this something that was identified in the run up to V3? I don't recall seeing it anywhere... Conjecture for the most part, inspired by not only the theme of the special 2016 Membership Kit, but also this excerpt of a Curator email from January 18, 2016: "...Down to brass tacks: one evening in the library, I opened a tome. I had not particularly great hopes for the volume, I expected only more abstruse intellectual jargon on the topic I was currently enamoured of. However, this book was different than the rest. These pages did not contain the dry academic discourse which I had expected. Rather, they were full of wonder! They told of objects of such beauty, containing within them the power of their history. I was stopped in that moment. My whole reality had been shaken by a mystery I had, until that hour, no idea even existed. In that moment the blues and greys of my studies had become roses of discovery. Oh! The discoveries that have been made already in this new year! That same brave intern who faced down my sourness and tendency to prolixity, who once braved the archive only to be concussed by the secrets within, is now proudly leading teams of new interns to the dreaded archives. And we are pleased to announce that most of them have returned. Their purpose is to collect miscellaneous paraphernalia and information in order to aid the Editor in preparation of a great renewal of our our curated collection of narratives and quandaries presented under the letterhead Curios & Conundrums. I have heard from the Editor that a conclave has recently taken place to collect all that is needed from the archives, as well as items sent to various secret mailboxes scattered throughout the lands. Attending this most exclusive of meetings were some new faces among the old and together they have begun to contrive Curios & Conundrums, Volume 3, scheduled for shipment at the end of the month of February...."

I came here to literally ask this same question. I saw the email with more details and checked my account status and it says estimated start April 30, 2017 and was wondering if that means I won't get Volume 4, Chapter 1. (I didn't sign up for the subscription until last friday when they had the teaser email)

The MPC is changing C&C into a subscription box service, which makes sense since that's what people are buying now. The good news is that more cool stuff will come in the package. They might dumb it down a bit ... that is to be determined.
IMPORTANT: While you will get the first issue of volume 4, you MUST REUP to continue. Pretty sure that's what I read:
"These changes, while exciting, do come with some increase in their cost. As long-time subscribers, we grandfathered your charges at $24.99, plus shipping if outside of North America. Last year, in July, we increased the price for new subscribers to $29.99, plus $5 within North America, and $15 shipping to the United Kingdom, and $20 to other International destinations.
"Because we are certain you will love the new Curios and Conundrums as much as we do, and because we value your loyalty and support, you will be charged only $24.99 for the upcoming Spring issue. We also offer you the opportunity to opt-in to the new price of $29.99, once you have been enticed by the new format.
"BUT PLEASE NOTE: YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL BE CANCELLED AFTER GODS AND MONSTERS IF YOU DO NOT OPT-IN. If you do not opt-in, we cannot in good conscience continue your subscription at a higher rate. Simply click on your subscription on your account page, and click Upgrade Your Subscription."

When I purchased my subscription at the end of December, it was at the price of $29.99 plus $5 shipping so a total of $34.99 per quarter. So I do not believe that I need to opt in as I already agreed to the higher price when I signed up.

I also chuckled at the typo (if indeed it was...) of GODS AND MONSTERS instead of "OF MADNESS."

I do hope they keep the overall story going, in as much as they can, and not just have single themed boxes of no relation to others
