Just curious if anyone picked the option for the Victory for Law and Order....I chose Victory for the Pirates and wanted to be able to message someone at the end to see how the story ends for the other side.

I chose Victory for Law and Order. I got this as gift for my father, and as he would have supported the navy/the courts, it was easy to choose.

The John Augur experience gives you a choice of two different endings.

I completely forgot that we had a choice. I think I likely rooted for the pirates.

Hmm ... I'm a little worried now. What if a victory for the pirates means the red fish pirates in the modern narrative. Those guys are jerks. I want the Consortium to win.

It could be a morality statement, if you're rooting for the pirates, you're rooting for them in any age... Nah. I picked a victory for the pirates, too. I guess we'll see in a week or so.

Now that this mailing is being delivered, this thread seems like the perfect place to compare endings. The "victory for the pirates" ending includes six handwritten pages and a brochure about Taal Lake in the Philippines all wrapped up in a piece of canvas with a red fish on it. The handwritten pages are the story of the Reverend sent to grant absolution to John Augur before his execution. Augur tells of being picked up by a Spanish Man O'War and being brought to Nassau. The remaining pirates from the consortium arrive, break him out, and they all escape.

so in regards to the newspaper article and the message on the back (are you sure you want to read this?) does wonder how the information was communicated? Are people assuming there was some type of communication we don't know about..a phone call we don't know about, an email that we didn't get..... or are people going to be re-reading the email messages to see if there was a hidden message we missed?

I didn't get a newspaper article ... check your packaging again, it was on top of the pages and the brochure. I could see it slipping out.
