So having gotten home from work and fiddled around with the artifact more, while setting it up with my others, I really really like it as an artifact.(although again, a bit lack luster for this experience), I feel like we only have one maybe two unanswered questions who where these new age pirates, and maybe the exact location of the treasure. We know the fate of Kelsey that was answered from the beginning. And as to the location of the treasure we can assume the general area, not knowing its exact spot isn't too heart breaking.
Side note, I too would like to know the difference between, for pirates and for the law. Did anyone who received it today choose "for the law"

What is the Vulcan tooth? A curiosity released during the dread holiday, you can find information and pictures all about it in the thread entitled "Vulcan dragon tooth" in the experiences section of this forum.

I would also like to know if the "for the law" artifact was the same. Also, the letter. What else was included in the "for the law" ending.

I got the "victory for law" ending, but I don't see anything different from what the rest of you have been reporting. Which is why I'm thinking we must get a little bit more with the reveal mailing.
But, if you guys want me to go into more detail on what I received, maybe we can find a subtle difference?

Alrighty, here's what I got sent: 1) The artifact tooth, which I think is the same for everyone. 2) Kelsey's Email (excerpt) "I'm sending all I have to you. Augur's buried notes, his small crate, all of it. Keep it safe. I don't want it to fall into the wrong hands. As soon as I have resupplied, I am heading west to the Philippines for the final leg of this hunt. Those pirates sure did pick an obscure place to hide their treasure. I just hope it isn't buried under some lava flow or something." 3) Notebook Paper "I have no idea who they are, but I know they're dangerous--and they are stalking me. They can only be after the treasure." "As soon as the engine finishes starting up, I have to fly." 4) Shui Nu's Letter (If there are differences, I think they will be here. So, here is the letter in full:) Captain Augur, It pains us most deeply that we are forced to leave you in this vile predicament, but better for you to find your ease with a few days on this tropical isle, that for us, battered as we are, to be hanged before we can enjoy the fruits of our most successful and bounteous raid. Your sacrifice won us the day, and we are forever in your debt. We four, luckier in battle than ye, can continue our lives of independence on the high seas. Your pitiable fate denies you that freedom, and so we will use our own shares to obtain for you, by means of bribery or blackmail, an official pardon. When we return for ye, we shall place it in your hands. Fill in whatever name you wish to take in your new life, and that seal and the governor's signature will protect you.
We shall return for ye as soon as we have eluded our pursuers. We trust you will have fully recovered your strength in the interim. Follow the maps, the amulet, and the scrimshaw to our treasure; we are off to hide it in a place known to Captain Latour until we are no longer hunted. If we cannot return for ye, we will leave your treasure where it lies should we go to collect it ourselves. Look for Mermaid Rock when you get the island within.
We cannot thank you enough for your part in this. Be of good cheer, Captain Augur, we are victorious!!

Written by the hand of Shui Nu, on behalf of the Consortium. I'm fairly positive I sided with the pirates, but my contents were identical to what you just listed. Unfortunately, for every other experience, the reveal has simply been a card with whatever message to sender wanted to say to the sendee. I wish there was a more satisfying epilogue to this, but it's unlikely to come with the reveal.

I'd like to point out that in the Features section of the John Augur experience page of the MPC website, it says this experience features an Epilogue.
We still have a T-Shirt and Challenge Coin to come, too, don't we? My crate is scheduled to be delivered today, so I'm not aware of the contents yet.

For John Augur, the mailing descriptions on the site and the epilogue feature listed don't match up like they do in Under The Ceiba Tree, which has a clear epilogue listed as one of the mailings. It could be that they're trying to keep the John Augur epilogue secret and/or a surprise, but it seems odd to not list all of the mailings that are going to happen for new customers to see. However, I'm also wondering about the T-Shirt and Challenge Coin; it certainly seems that early adopters have at least one more mailing on the way.

From the icons, Under a Ceiba Tree is three mailings, the crate, and the reveal. It is actually two mailings, the crate, a mailing, and the reveal, as I understand it. Regardless, though, Augur does seem to be a mailing short if the epilogue does not come with the reveal.

Just tried to order the experience again to see if we are still given the choice between pirates and the law, we are. While doing this I discovered a picture of the tshirt

If you click on the Spoiler Warnings for Ceiba Tree, it actually shows the artifact picture as one of the regular mailings, and the mailing with the crate icon as both an unavailable image and described as a brief epilogue. Oh well, it's likely just a clerical error. But one never fully knows with the MPC...

Having just opened my crate, I think this is a pretty sweet prestige artifact.
