This world around you is not what it seems. Our future is at stake, and you must choose a side. A mysterious energy has been unearthed by a team of scientists in Europe. The origin and purpose of this force is unknown, but some researchers believe it is influencing the way we think. We must control it or it will control us. The Enlightened seek to embrace the power that this energy may bestow upon us. The Resistance struggle to defend, and protect what's left of our humanity. If you like geocaching (you physically have to move to play), you might like: Ingress. Though there's not much puzzling, there is a mystery for you to reveal. You use your phone to find hotspots and play the game. It's made by the same company behind the immensely popular Pokemon Go. The big difference is that Ingress is more for the diehards and pokemon go is, well, more for everyone.

I found Ingress rather unimmersive - which is something of a shame, since the game itself was rather fun. But it often felt like the vast majority of players is only interested in the gameplay, to the point of total ignorance with regard to the narrative. But we had some good times with it, back in the day.

But I find that all games with this high amount of players will usually break immersion, cause people just want to get on top. Unless there are RP servers/groups/something similar. And oooh don't make it sound so ancient! ' Back in the day' Pah!
