I've given up and canceled after getting box 3. I just can't get into it. I'd rather have something I can work on while on my couch alone, I don't want to do google research for hours at a computer to try to figure it out....and then have no set answers, just theories I might share with other people. And 8 boxes over 8 months is just way too long, assuming there's even an answer at the end.
However, the quality, price, customer service, and shipping times were great. It's probably worth the money for anyone who loves doing online research and doesn't mind waiting a month for more to work on. Just not my thing, feels too much like work, not enough fun or potential closure for me.

"Premium box" ... "1934" ... videos ...
I see none of this sort of thing on their web site. I'm clearly not looking in the right location.

It was offered to current subscribers at a reduced price though their newsletter, marked down if you ordered it before it is officially up for sale. They may not be offering it to non-subscribers yet, or they may have sold out of the early bird orders again.

So an interesting e-mail from Hunt A Killer today. It sounds like I'm not alone with the issues I have with the experience, and that due to feedback from other people, they're basically addressing all of my concerns, including having much more narrative guidance and an inventory of what you're supposed to have at what time. I'm definitely renewing my subscription as a result, and I might re-order 1934 once I get the second episode if the narrative guidance is really good. Very encouraging stuff.

Hmmm... $297 US. That's pretty high. I'll need to deliberate on this.

Also, it's not helping that I didn't even subscribe and I'm getting spammed constantly by them saying that I've been approved for a limited time (which has expired multiple times now).

Got the second package along with the new narrative guidance and I'm pretty happy. Still seems like not a huge amount to uncover per box, but it's much clearer what's going on now, and in general, the quality of the material is very solid. I went ahead and reordered 1934 as they were offering a sizable promo discount (turned into being something like 85 dollars off!) and I think I'll stick with this experience now.

Really keen to see what ends up in the 1934 box - for the price it comes down to ordering another MPC experience (and I'm all about the artifact) or this, and it's not clear if this has any "display" properties...

While I'm certainly not an expert on Hunt A Killer or anything, I can't imagine there would be anything displayable at the end. This is totally different from the MPC; it's much more about research and mystery solving and reading between the lines to understand what's going on, and the "artifacts" in general have been tiny and are more like crime scene items as opposed to tangible items you would display. So far, I greatly prefer the MPC's storytelling style and this will take a very long time to fully pay off (eight months in fact given the season length), but for what it is, it's well done and it's cool to experience a package storytelling company with such a different style. 1934 will also be interesting as it's a standalone box, so it will be a good test of the company's storytelling abilities and whether or not they can pull off a satisfying mystery. I'll be receiving mine sometime in early June.

The items in the box (file size box) are fabulous and authenticity set the scene with lots of hidden gems..

Well, I must say, Box 3, while not the most exciting box ever (though the hidden letter message was cool and creepy), did have by far the most dangerous/hazardous item I've ever gotten in a box/package like this. I'm a bit amazed they were able to send it through regular mail with no issues! This may or may not intrigue some of you...

Just not my thing, feels too much like work, not enough fun or potential closure for me. I feel the exact same way. It seemed so directionless, which I am sure is most of the appeal since it's designed for people who really enjoy the open-ended, aimless research. It definitely felt way too much like work and seemed intentionally ambiguous (which was frustrating). At times, I wondered if the creators really had a plan, or if their plan was to throw a bunch of stuff into a box and let people come to their own conclusions, lol. I wouldn't have minded the work if there was a payoff like the Vault, but ugh. Spending countless hours randomly researching is soooo boring.

Just received 1934 today, and while I haven't started the investigation part of it yet, the items in the box are amazingly high-quality, certainly on par with MPC. There are also a LOT of items (about 25 different things in the box), and I can tell that there are some hidden things inside several of the items that will likely become puzzles in and of themselves. Many of them are also very large items that could not have been cheap to mass-produce. The items are also pretty much all very weathered and old, and the work on that aspect of the items is astonishing. I'm very, very happy so far, and I can't wait to actually dig deep and solve the mystery (there's also a spoiler envelope attached to the front that will apparently reveal all, a very welcome change of pace from the first season's relatively directionless feel).

Great. Another premium hunt a killer experience. But somehow they stopped shipping international. You can only select US or Canada. Same with the 1934 box. Though I am sure that I would have been able to order the first preorder of 1934. Can't understand that company's business decisions.
