Now that The Beard is on the case, we are all doomed to be left in the dust.

What are the actual decoded coordinate numbers? I answered this on page two of this thread.

I think the French woman, Arab and "other couple" are bodies of water. In the email it was stated that Kelsey took the zodiac through a couple of portages. I could be way off but that was my first thought as I read the note

Same with the pendant it has 3 gaps which I expect is used to turn and place it in. then it maybe the depth (or at that moment height) lines will sync up nicely) did anyone try and succeeded to get into the mailserver. tried Peridot because it has an interesting background too.

Just stopping in to say hello. I'm new here and have been floored with how fantastic the first mailing was. Looking forward to the mystery. I see that a sea raven (other than being a fish) is another word for a cormorant...and that it was captain of the H.M.S. Cormorant that declared the small isle the coordinates led to, to be under British protection in the late 1880s.
I am wondering if that is pure coincidence or if that level of detail and depth is to be expected from MPC. Will see if this tidbit of trivia is useful in future mailings.

The Frenchwoman, Arab, and couple certainly felt like directions to me when I first read it. Ships seem like much too transitory a thing to base directions on, but bodies of water or bodies of land seem more apt.
I haven't had a chance to play with the amulet very much, so no new discoveries there. I actually tried looking at the mail server, but without any success. Although they have a web page, I'd be very surprised if they actually set up a working web server for this experience.

Well, we have set sail. This WAS a big first mailing haha. Laughed more than I thought I would In addition to the article on the back of the actual news clipping, I also really enjoyed the "leftover" bits of text before the pirate code information. Also interesting is that in the top right quadrant there are some holes where push pins might have been in a triangle shape.

In the first shipment, My son got two copies of one of the papers--an email. We ordered the experience for his 13th birthday. Because of the double email page he thinks it's all some kind of hoax. He said "If it was real they wouldn't have done that. Someone made a mistake." 😡 Now, on top of being angry that a mistake in the shipment itself made him dismiss the whole thing as a trick someone is playing, I'm also worried that something might be missing--if they had the right number of papers in the pile they put in this shipment, but since one was duplicated, maybe one was left out? What was supposed to be in this shipment?? He received : 1. Giant map 2. Letter from curator 3. Email to Peridot (2 copies) 4. Newspaper clipping (mummy) 5. Parchment with symbols on it 6. Printout of two pages of a book with a tattoo cypher and description of pirate coding system 7. Message in a bottle 8. Amulet 9. Handwritten sheets torn out of a notebook.
Thanks!!

Thanks!! I will double check when I get home today, but nothing appears to be missing.

When I posted earlier, I was worried that my son did not receive everything. I have confirmed that he did! The stuff is really convincing. He has had a blast with it.
My only concern is that he received two copies of the first email in his package, and he said "If this was real, why would they do that?"
I had no answer.
I still say it has been worth every bit of what we paid. (We have received three shipments. Still waiting for reveal.)
Good luck!
