And you realize that by saying that, it's the first thing everyone will do, lol! I did the same thing, so did others I know. Near as I can tell, it really doesn't change much of anything about the game except that you are able to skip a task if you choose to.

Either it was a nod to people who have played enough of these things to use 'get all' and giving them a small reward -- or not excluding the object you weren't supposed to get was an oversight.

I assume you're read the detail when you enter the room. Is there something in your inventory you were not aware of? Of course, you have to turn OFF the lamp before you can use anything, as it it is too hot

But there are many! And other fun things you can find to that may or may not be helpful. Like "examine doorway" in some of the rooms is kind of fun.

I've watched the hamster's routine - pull, magenta, push, teal, pull - and replicated this int he Utility Room but...the Study door doesn't unlock.

I've tried restarting the game from scratch to reset this puzzle in case my earlier messing with the lever upset it, but still nothing....any ideas?
