I noticed that as well. I attribute it to simple symmetry in a 3x3 layout.

Has anyone filled in the About the Story blanks? Take a spellbinding tour through The █████████ ██████████ ████████ and discover the secret of ████████████████████ and ██████████. Find out which █████████ will ████████ the strawberry █████ in the █████ ███████. My best guess is: Take a spellbinding tour through The Mysterious Package Company and discover the secret of ████████████████████ and ██████████. Find out which words will open/unlock the strawberry lock in the day vault. Also, does the artifact have any use/purpose/meaning?

I think something may be off. I know that... I need to watch the hampster for some reason, and that I need to do it through the two way mirror in the office.
I put the food in the dish, turn off the lights in both rooms, and then go to try and watch what happens. Am I missing a command, or am I possibly doing something out of order? Do you have to get to the utility room to be able to do this? also I know the lamp room pattern is a secret message I'm just not sure if I need any special items to read it.

If I understand your first question correctly, the answer is you will need access to the utility room to complete the puzzle in the lab. In regard to your second question, It is very likely you already have what you need. Once you know what to use, it should be obvious what additional steps you need to take in order to use it successfully.

I'm guessing since it's a rebus, I should be using synonyms for the given symbols to sound out the words? Well A and B are the soundalike of a description. C+D are more of a... Mad Gab. I may need a nudge as well. A and B make things explode as far as I know.

ok...I'm stuck in the game. I'm in the utility room...I have flipped the lever..pushed the buttons using all the combinations of the 3 and gone back through all the rooms, searched them all but found nothing. Can some point me in the direction of the next step...

In the utility room... The buttons do have an effect. Explore all the rooms to determine what they are affecting.

In the utility room... The buttons do have an effect. Explore all the rooms to determine what they are affecting. Believe me I have done that. When I push a button it tells me the light goes on but as I take my finger off it it goes dim again. It doesn't stay lit. Is is supposed to be that way? I wondering if I missed something before I get here.

But to find it out you might have to go see (or more accurately, NOT see) another resident of the MPC.

I think I've got it....I found the breaker box...quite often I seem to figure it out shortly after I post. DOH!

Well I've solved the first puzzle! appsto.re/gb/xYtjr.iYes, I appreciate that most here would not even deign to bestow such a title upon the enabling of the adventure to be played on a smartphone, but for me this deserved at least another night-lock or two! As far as the adventure itself goes, I can boast of far less success. It has likely been a matter of decades since I attempted a game like this, and have only done so two or three times for the simple reason that I have never managed to persuade the infuriatingly imbecilic automaton that I control to proceed beyond even the first area. This adventure is proving no different. I have thus far managed to master the skills of "examine" and "take", which have gleaned me a letter and locked box. I have also discovered… (and I really don't know why I'm bothering to spoiler tag this as I can't imagine anyone else here having the slightest difficulty uncovering this much)… A statue on the bookshelf that I cannot aquire. A "receptacle" in the large fireplace. Something "glittering" in the skull that I cannot peruse further or acquire. A tap with a missing handle that has a "strange assemblage". Evidence that the bar itself somehow opens. Possibly by means of replacing the missing handle. In short, I am trapped in the sitting room and my lack of familiarity with navigating this type of game is seriously hampering my progress. If I were physically inside such an "escape room" in real life, I would be quite in my element. As it is, I desperately require some experienced guidance.

Think of verbs like push, pull, turn, off, on, etc and try it on one of those items...you can't pick up many items but you can manipulate them in some way..
