Are the words in each of the cabinets in alphabetical order?

No. You need to follow the right-hand list of directions to get the right order

I thought I had figured out the key names for the cabinet, but that was before I realized what a unique vowel meant (I thought it meant that the vowel the name ended with would not be found elsewhere in the name, for that reason I didn't consider "y" a vowel that needed to be factored in. This has confused me a lot and I'm still left with Wriostheley and Perlman, having no idea where they belong (though I do have options for them, they just don't seem to fit because other names only seem to go in those options.
Someone please direct me to where these names go.

before I realized what a unique vowel meant Reminds me of the Steven Wright joke where he argues with the roulette wheel operator over what he considers to be an "odd number."

Could someone give me a push on this please? I think I've got cabinet E but that's about it. I'd like to know I'm on the right track.

Would someone be so kind as to check my filing work? I believe every word is in the correct place, but my A4 is a little short.

Any nudges, fellow puzzlers?

The third drawer is for words that show up in a dictionary. That is the name has to have an English meaning. So Ratzenburger would never fit in that row but Long (the opposite of short) or Alley (a space between buildings) might. My tip: the MPC uses a dictionary that includes the plural forms of words.

Meant would names like "Perlman" be disqualified since they appear, but are last names of actual people?
