Some of the drawers are different. But that still leaves us with the question of which letters? There are several working theories, yet none have produced a correct answer.

I've got the sets sorted. I've checked the CNC part of the MPC site and verified that my double letters, ending letter, and two random letters are all correct. And I'm still not seeing it. I will say it isn't THE LOCALE I haven't gotten this one yet either. There seems to be
a movie title theme within this vault but I could be mistaken. How did you determine which letters to use, out of your list of names?

I did three different lists:
1) First letter from each name; 2) Used the letter from the name that corresponded with the cabinet (i.e. Cabinet A, first letter; Cabinet B, Second letter; etc.) 3) Used the letter from the name that corresponded with the drawer (i.e. Drawers 1, first letter; Drawers 2, Second letter; etc.)
I haven't been able to find the answer though.

I have also tried the sixth letters per the six sided star.

I have also tried the sixth letters per the six sided star. I also have used the 6th letter of the name in the drawer where the stars are (star of David). I am also trying to determine if the stars themselves form a constellation. Finally we have to remember that the symbol for this clue feeds into the Moon Day lock and ties to either the Cinematographer or the Novelist

Finally we have to remember that the symbol for this clue feeds into the Moon Day lock and ties to either the Cinematographer or the Novelist It doesn't feed directly that way though. So you have to remember that it will connect later but probably not in the same form/definition. Which is an intentionally vague way of saying it needs to connect to something else before the moon. You can probably tel what by the moon codes.

Based on some context clues in the future, I think the lock answer needs to direct us to another drawer somehow. And then we reuse that later.

Anyone who has solved this one, is there possibly an "error" in this puzzle? I got 8 of the 9 letters for the solution, but the 9th letter just won't come out right. But the 8 letters was enough for me to figure out the answer and get the lock open. Wondering if I should still be working on it, or just chalk it up to a (possibly meaningful later) typo.

Not "nope" as in "there isn't an error" but nope as in I just can't with this. 2. Could you elaborate on which letters from which words you used? And 3. What made you try an answer that didn't match the letters you had?

I felt that way with the crossword puzzle. 2. Many people here have mentioned using the correct method already, so I think they were confused by the "error". The same thing that led you to the words will lead you to the letter. 3. It fit the theme of the rest of the locks and was only one letter off, so I gave it a shot.
