Finished, but I'm not sure how to get a 4 letter answer from it. Maybe has something to do with the other letters in the top part

I am also stuck here. The directions say the first letter of each clue answer will spell the author's name, but that is not correct (at least not based on what I have).

The other odd thing is that I can find that quote attributed to two different people. The one laid out in the puzzle, and someone much different

So I have four letters. Sort of. I can't actually tell what two of them are. So I'm going to guess for a while.

The four letter answer can be found without solving the crostic. Which is odd.

The four letter answer can be found without solving the crostic. Which is odd. I figured that out after solving the crostic, of course. That being said, I found the four 'letters' but only one seems anything letter-esque to me. Not sure how to proceed.

The four letters should spell a word/name. Possibly a movie.... That's deep as that layer gets.

solved the Crostic, but even after reading this thread I don't know where or how to find the four letters that are needed to open this lock.
I don't see a pattern with the "goat' symbols over the numbers in the clues.
Can I have a nudge please. thanks
