Hi all, I've been working on Volume 3 of Curios and Conundrums and, as I was doing so, I became really interested in the way this online community functions. It is a really interesting case of like-minded people coming together to help each other out. My day job is as a professor at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada where I do technology research and design. My interest in Curios and Conundrums sparked the idea of doing a research project on online puzzle forums and how people solve puzzles with others in person or using technology. If you have a few minutes, and need a distraction from your puzzling efforts, it would be great if people could answer a survey I have created. It should take less than 15 minutes. You can find it here: clab.iat.sfu.ca/puzzles/ The first page is a consent form that you can read and click through to get to the actual survey. Thank you!! cheers, carman clab.iat.sfu.ca carmster.com P.S. I talked with Todd and he said it was ok to post this.

I'm still working on this research and would love to hear from more people. If you have a few minutes to complete the survey, that would be great! clab.iat.sfu.ca/puzzles/Or, if you can spare some time for a 30 minute interview over Skype, I would be greatly appreciative. This would go a long ways to helping out my research. I'm looking to hear from a range of people, so don't feel you need to be a master puzzle solver. My interest is in how people work with family or friends, or people on the CNC forum to solve puzzles. Many thanks!
