I regret that I discovered MPC before I was gifted an experience, but I decided I could at least enjoy a first experience second-hand through my children, ages 9, 11, and 13. The first mailing of Under the Ceiba Tree arrived yesterday (on Halloween, very fortuitous). The kids are suitably intrigued and confused, my wife less so. She's suspicious and believes it's the lead-up to an elaborate scam. She's concerned this person knows where our children can be seen. I'm inclined to bring her into the fold so she doesn't spoil the experience for the kids, but she's also a notoriously bad secret-keeper for things like this. At least, I don't think she'll be effective at feigning a lack of knowledge. It would also be neat to see her sense of wonder develop, but I'm not sure it will.
Any thoughts or experiences on how to handle this?

ETA: Welcome!! Pull up a chair and have a look around!

I regret that I discovered MPC before I was gifted an experience Ah, I feel your pain! Of all the people I know, I would probably be the one most thrilled about receiving an Experience, so naturally I was also the first to learn about the Company.
As for your issue at hand, maybe you can calm the waters by suggesting that the children are not to go through the mailings on their own, but instead must open them with you and your wife so you can make certain that nothing foul is going on? As a rule of thumb, the Company does not ask for the recipient to do anything, so she should be fine, and that way you could gauge their reactions first hand. And keep them from overreacting.
Depending on your acting skills, you could of course sit the kids down and grill them about giving personal information to any strangers...

I think is likely the tact I'll need to take; I certainly don't want to cause my wife any unnecessary stress. Thanks for the welcome, all!
