Here's a very silly puzzle suitable for the end of the season.
Lou and Bud want to know:
Why is this a Knock-Knock joke?
What 3 Words A friend about to flower (5) . What the chef does when he approves the use of a deadly gas (5) . Plan to remove the informational plaque (6)

I don't know!! Help? The clues are quite cryptic, but don't let them get you cross.

Like Amanda said upthread, give some attention to the italicized words. They might help you find a solution.

Those of us who like puzzles that can be solved without Google are in for a disappointment.

Well, I think this is more like someone not knowing what a Bacon cipher is, googling "Bacon cipher," then using Rumkin to decode the cipher. Not everyone is familiar with every method of encoding out there. But MPC was certainly aware of this one, since you need it to solve Harvest Time.

I'm simply trying to provide a useful hint for the dinosaurs like me who do things with paper and pencil. Simply repeating previous hints when somebody doesn't understand them is counter-productive.
It's not meant to be a reflection on either puzzle. I can see that my phrasing may have been less than ideal. But it's just a reminder that there are those of us who do not type multiple iterations of every random phrase into a search engine until we find the right web page. When someone says "I don't get it" we need to try a different approach to the hints.
Amanda's puzzle at least does not make the assumption that MPC made: that we would find that page without direction. But then again, MPC also assumed that nobody would be able to guess their way past the puzzle.
And perhaps I simply haven't found MPC's directions yet.

For what it's worth, if you look up exactly what was suggested it's the first hit. No other iterations needed, unlike puzzles like the earlier horoscopes where it was mentioned they weren't liked because they were google-able (and how I solved some of them), or music notes which was snarkily assisted with a lmgtfy link recently. Both of which were from you lol
I think people get a little frustrated over their own over-thinking on these hints. I've had a few times where I read a hint, stumbled over it for a few days and then realized with a facepalm that I was directed to exactly what I needed, but I was taking the info and twisting it into something else on my own.
The hard part for me on Amanda's was figuring out the three components. The first one I had as a shorter version at first, but turns out it had a few "correct" answers.

Well I can't get past components 2 and 3. These Cryptic clues are driving me crazy and the hard part is I'm pretty sure they are easy clues. LOL. It's all good; this is what I am here for. Stretching my thinking, learning new things, it is what I expect from members here.

Not helpful, but the third one I liked better than the second. Break each into two parts. One half will give a word and the other half should make you giggle. If the pun works anyway

There's a site with easy ones that I try every now and then, it's always a lesson in humility!

As a quick forum search will tell you, I responded to a question that was literally "how do I google musical notes" with a lmgtfy link, yes. And if I stated that I did not like the earlier horoscopes because of Google-necesity is consistent with my viewpoint. Excuse me if my frustration shows through, but the spirit of the MPC community, dating back to the Sitting Room and Chat Room days, had always been to help people to find the solutions to these puzzles in a way that works for them. This emerging trend of "I gave them a hint. If they don't get it, that's their problem" is very disheartening and contrary to the way I want this forum to operate. If you choose not to participate in the community, that's your prerogative. Nobody will force you. But don't try to shame those asking for help. And don't try to shame me for providing an extra nudge when someone clearly still wanted it.
