I am a grandmother of 10 whose grandchildren thrill with the excitement and mystery of Harry Potter, Magic the Gathering and "S" by JJ Abrams. I sent The Weeping Book as a gift and love C&C, although it's a bit out of my league!

Greetings fellow members of the Mysterious Package Company,
I am Ms. Stacey L Smethurst, soon to be Mrs. Stacey L Mansfield, archer extraordinaire in the company of the other members of the Society for Creative Anachronism and lover of all things bizarre and puzzling. When I am not found sitting by the fire and puzzling over ciphers, I am found at the piano practicing the art of music. I will be married to the love of my life on October 31, 2016 at noon, and am eagerly anticipating the day.
I look forward to better making your acquaintance in our future adventures.
Ms. S. L. Smethurst

Sorry, I am not sure where to post a non RP introduction... hope here is all right... I'm new to MPC and the forum, having found the Filigree Kickstarter a few days ago (I think I got the last Early Bird special for the Experience level, unless someone drops out). Bought it to send to my mom, because she is homebound and will pee herself when she starts getting these mailings. Since I realized Filigree won't ship until at least spring of next year, I decided to go to the MPC website and sign up. After instant admission (I assume it's automated nowadays?), I also purchased for her the two omnibus C&C editions as well as v3.1 and 3.2, the Member's Handbook, and the Weeping Book. I understand shipping is extremely unpredictable (nice how MPC has even factored that into the "mysterious" portion of the story!), but I can only hope she gets the newspapers and handbook first, followed shortly by The Weeping Book, and finally Filigree XD I also subscribed to C&C for myself. My plan is to "help" my mom figure out the "weird newspapers," therefore I'm SO THANKFUL for these forums! I am going to start a journal to document our MPC journey, but I'm also a completionist and a fan of social collaboration, so I knew I had to find a group of like-minded sleuths So far I LOVE the documentation you all have done on the C&Cs. So here's my first question for you all... Like I said, I sent my mom all the C&Cs up to v3.3; unless I'm mistaken, I won't be able to order v3.3 until 3.4 ships in November? I did go ahead and sign myself up for the subscription so 3.4 on will mail to me (after my reveal for The Weeping Book, she'll know it was me sending the papers, etc, and I will just take the paper to her on my visits, plus I didn't want to risk v3.4 getting to her before the back copies... I know MPCs shipping is completely unpredictable). I don't want to miss an issue, so I am planning on buying v3.3 a la carte, like 3.1 and 3.2... do you think that is how it will work out?Thank you for any advice you can give, Holly Hemlock

Welcome, Holly. Your enthusiasm is inspiring.
Unfortunately, we were told before it shipped that issue 3.3 was not going to be made available separately. I suggest contacting a Concierge at MPC, as I believe some have found a way to resolve this conundrum.
I doubt they'll leave you hanging.
Welcome again! Sorry I missed you in chat, but you were there at 2AM in my time zone.

Sorry I missed you in chat, but you were there at 2AM in my time zone. Oh my gosh, I'm so glad I asked (and you replied); I am so surprised that one wouldn't be made available! I will contact MPC ASAP! EDIT: Here is my pathetic plea to the Concierges... "Hello, I realize I am late to the party, but I am dying to get my hands on C&C v.3.3! I have already ordered the two catch up omnibi for v1 and 2, and the first two issues of v3. I have also subscribed and will get issue 3.4 in November... but after asking around, I found out that members were advised that v3.3 would not be made available separately, as 3.1 and 3.2 were! I am already heavily invested in the story (plus I just bought The Weeping Book, as well as the Filigree Experience on Kickstarter). Please, can you make an exception and sell me a copy of C&C v3.3? I will never miss another issue after this!"

A warm welcome to the both of you! I is wonderful you found your way here - from the Filigree in Shadow campaign, I presume? Or were you, permaspooked, lucky enough to be introduced to the Company as a recipient of an Experience? In any case, since the old Sitting Room has been boarded up for quite some time now, this really is the best place to meet your fellow members of the Company. I feel obligated to point out that there is also a chatroom, if you at times prefer the more immediate contact to the rest of this community. It can be found via the wiki.

I found the mysterious box company through a facebook ad. I plan on ordering a few experiences though. I have not experienced any just yet.

Ah, I envy those who have the luxury of entering into an Experience without prior knowledge of the Company or their craft, but I suppose it takes people such as us, who become aware of their work by more mundane means, to spread the word!

I do not think knowing will hinder my experiences at all. Oh, I did not mean to imply that it would - just that the singular exhilaration of the truly unsuspected is a rare thing indeed.
