Lady Delaney said the boxes would be numbered 1 - 5. has anyone found where the number is? Cause my box seems to be labeled 0004.

I think the 0004 is part of the mailing label, I have that too. From the contents, this really is the first mailing.
My box has '#0000001' stamped on the short end that looks like it was done with some kind of rickety old-time punch stamper thing.

But with your help I found the #0000001. Now I'll know what to look for next time.

Happy to help -- frankly, my eyes aren't so young anymore either, I almost missed it. Now, where did I put the blades and the sprayment... I'll save the quick-drying goo for something else. Crafty thing? Mystery? I couldn't hit the paypal link fast enough and so far I think it's a home run

I don't think there's much to 'spoil' in this first mailing, she did say the mailings would be layered like a puzzle coming in 5 boxes, but maybe please use spoiler text anyway?

Did anyone else notice The long strip of paper in the box, totally think it's part of a future puzzle Yes, I'm thinking the same thing. I nearly missed it, good thing I was taking her advice to comb thru everything carefully. If this mailing sets the atmosphere and tone for the story going forward, she couldn't have done a better job. I think I'm going to spray mount the very elegant set of instructions for assembling the house. I have a piece of foam core that's about the right size and it really is too nice to leave hidden in the box. Well, truly, I'll do that after I have very carefully examined the back for any possible clues, lol!

Just out of curiosity, what all did people get in the small box? I received: Three buttons, and possibly a piece of bird bone? Not sure of the bone but it is certainly something different. May need to check it out with a magnifying glass as it is quite small.

I got the Broadsheet, the letter in the envelope, the paintbrush, the goo, 5 pieces of wood, the wall paper, the house plan, two bones, one with a ribbon on it, and three buttons I have no idea what to do with. This is what I have. Note that in her last email, L. Delaney did say if you need a replacement for something to let her know.
