Very similar to mine. however, I rotated the bottom layer so that the bloody footprints "interacted" properly with the back wall! I'll try that! H&H: why would showing the constructed dollhouse be considered a spoiler?

Tanders, that's really great. I'm going to go over all the white edges of the furniture with colored pencil or marker to increase the verisimilitude. Will probably start on the furniture tonight.
H&H: My wife had a good idea. She used the flashlight on her iPhone to illuminate the inside of the house while I took a photo with my iPhone. Turned out pretty well.

H&H: why would showing the constructed dollhouse be considered a spoiler? It seems like people get the dollhouse piece by piece as the mystery builds and that constructing the dollhouse and getting everything where it belongs is part of the mystery. It might take a little of the surprise out of the mailings/mystery to see how things turn out, particularly the first floor? No worries either way, I just tend toward the 'better safe than sorry' end on spoilers most of the time.

Those are awesome pics!! I'm behind on finishing constructing mine. I am almost afraid to cut anything out, but I really want to get it put together. Just curious: did anyone else think that the wheels and baskets in the junk pile looked like little critters of some sort?

No critters. But I wonder what to do with the junk pile. It's designed to be cut out and stand up, however it's wider than the house so where would it go?

But it does have a tab at the bottom to be folded and glued, but that could be just for show (or a joke).
Did about a third of the furniture last night. Yikes it takes a long time!

Does the Oubliette mean anything to anyone?

Does the Oubliette mean anything to anyone? Just from "somebody's" web page... Should it mean more yet?

I have no idea, that's why I was asking.

Does the Oubliette mean anything to anyone? Speaking for myself, I was thinking that The hatch to secret passage behind the false wall was how someone was able to exit without being seen. The front and rear of the final first floor plan is clearly labeled as to Chartres street as is the original blueprint, so the footprints aren't going toward the wall with the handprint, they're coming toward the entry to the secret passage on the fourth wall.
I was thinking that was the home of the ladder and the key, to open the false wall and get to the secret passage.

Interesting! So I had the orientation of the "floor piece" correct the first time.

Interesting! So I had the orientation of the "floor piece" correct the first time. I thought the same thing, especially with the orientation of the street on the bottom paper. However, it looks so much nicer with the footprints and wall / handprints on it; as if that was her original purpose. Really wish she would finish the web page so we could all reach a conclusion on this story!
