Red doesn't address how to use all 10 locks. But it does cue the final solution. On the contrary, it's the clue that MPC embedded in the lock symbol, and the only clue we were initially given. Until MPC went back and added a clue for the puzzle, it was the logical path to the solution. Then you have inside information that the rest of us didn't have -- which works out for you

The new clue is another version of my chain hint, which is the first step to the full solution. Consider the symbols too... all the nightime locks. They really do play to the answer. Honest.

Near as I can tell, the 10 puzzle symbols are still there. I walked FlightOfFancy through the solution for the 10 puzzle symbols, she knew her answer was incomplete when she unlocked A because she hadn't used the 10 symbols.
What is the 'new' clue that makes everything clearer?

Is there something inside the lock other than nothing -- because that's what was there when Amanda and I solved it.

I had some wonderful guidance, and instruction on how the long path works, but my EUREKA moment came when I was simply staring at the lock, waiting for it to reactivate, muttering "scarlet, scarlet, scarlet".
Then it was merely a coin toss. but I am amazed at the brilliant leaps the 10 lock solution requires. BTW, my locks don't have any + signs for clues

Mine doesn't either, I only get squares. Same for the day and night symbols, they're just squares. I'm not sure it matters anyway, if there's a clue inside, you can see it (well, except for the A clue, since you solved it before this 'new' clue appeared) -- and they disappear after you solve them. anyway. I always hope there isn't some new symbol on a lock that isn't a +

Is there something inside the lock other than nothing -- because that's what was there when Amanda and I solved it. It appears the missing "clue" was just added. "That which begins must likewise end." I just started playing around with this and may need a slight push. There was nothing there when FoF and k8 solved it, either.

My high school teacher Ms. Stokley would be proud. Appreciate the aid! I'd really love to hear/see the walkthrough on how it relates to the other 10 or that ending clue, both out of morbid curiosity and to refine my solvin skillz.

It was attacked on two fronts, actually. Some of us took a cue from
the outer envelope and connected the answers end to end That message points to the coin After it had been solved by some, the clue you found was visible. That pointed to
the same idea as the outer envelope. Some of us said, "Why the heck is there a giant A in the lock??" and also
looked at the coin... and connected that in our heads. It's likely the MPC intended a combination of these two, but I feel like there's a leap missing between
the chain message and the key Does that help?

What a clever puzzle. Thanks K8 and all. x

Ugh...even when I was on the right track I ended up deeper down the rabbit hole than needed till I said to myself, "Self, why not try the obvious?"

Is the outer envelope the envelope the entire mailing came in, or is it the straight jacket packaging. I threw away the envelope everything came in so I have no clue now what might have been on that envelope.
