Solved it! Yes! I was worried I wouldn't make it through all the puzzles before the next issue came out. Thanks to those who helped.

So I've figured out the whole phrase, but I'm not sure how to modify the first two words so they're correct. Any suggestions? Unless I miss my guess, you have two letters that don't work, one in each word. Here's where the rotation comes into play, turn the letter as per the puzzle... Squint if necessary Doesn't that letter sort of maybe look like another one when turned on its side I'm sure if you do this you should find the answerz... GOT IT THANKS!!!!

I'm one of those "this is my last puzzle and I just can't solve it" people. It feels like I've tried everything. Hints? Suggestions? Clue-by-fours to the head?

Hello all, I'm new to this site, having discovered C&C a couple of months ago. I started with the back issues and have been working feverishly to try and catch up in time for the current issue upcoming. Todd has helped me a lot through the earlier issues -- I thought I'd post here to save him from having to be my sole hero!
Anyway, I've solved the night puzzles for this issue, and am working through the daytime ones -- this one has me quite stumped and I'd love a nudge in the right direction. I understand that I need both cards and the perplexle, but even knowing that, I have no direction in which to travel. Thank you to anyone who can help.

I'd like a nudge as well. Though it seems like PMs are required to get beyond the clues given here...

PMs sent to both of you - for what it's worth, for me this was the last one to came together in my head; although in reality not hugely tricky it's just the extra steps you have to take to get there...

Thanks craigrj! At this late a date, you might consider putting your pm as a forum post for the other lurkers out there. In any case, I appreciate the peace of mind

Alright, enough people have asked about this that I'm going to post my Binoculars Hints here to hopefully help you and any others who are struggling but loath to admit it - we've all been there! - Todd, if you feel this gives away too much away, please remove or I'll edit down. The rules on this for everyone - start with the First Hint then work at the puzzle again. If you really need to do so, work down the list but I strongly encourage you to work at the puzzle after using as few hints as possible: trust me, the sense of satisifaction you'll get will be much greater. Having said that, strap yourselves in and let's go:- First hint: You need the Perplexle puzzle, the BINGO card, and the Daytime lock number grid Second hint: The orientation in Perplexle is important only for two letters in the entire puzzle - because whilst an I and an S look like I and S the normal way round, if you rotate them they actually (sort of) look like other letters Third hint: The first word in the answer is THE Fourth hint: This is because the first number in the daytime lock is 4, rotated right - look at the BINGO card, the number 4 appears in the second row, first column - look at Perplexle, the second row, first column letter is T and indeed it is rotated right. Therefore, first letter is T. The second number in the daytime lock is 54, rotated left. 54 on the BINGO card appears in column 4, row 4. In Perplexle, column 4, row 4 has the letter I. BUT! Remember we have a rotation to the left, so rotate I left and it looks...a little like a H. The third number in daytime lock is 73. On BINGO card, 73 in column 5, row 2, no rotation. On Perplexle, this point is E, no rotation. THerefore we have T, H, E = THE for the first word.
