I think it's important to know that there's one square where the puzzle breaks from the usual crossword pattern of rotational symmetry. I'm not sure whether that's intentional, but not knowing that fact can make solving much harder. The square at row 2, column 7 is black; the symmetrically corresponding square at row 14, column 9 is white. That's the only discrepancy I found.

any hints on 7D, 21D, and 26A. cant seem to wrap my head around them 26A is a groaner. It has nothing to do with actors portraying or anything; think more of what's particular about Eliza Doolittle. A bigger hint: she speaks in a Cockney accent. How would she describe Batman if she saw him in action? 7D: what six string instrument does E. Van Halen play? Think of a particular 80's style. A bigger hint: the body of the guitar is shaped like this < much like a certain letter soaring through the sky

I grew up near Pasadena and the claim to fame of one of the local bands was, "This is Eddie van Halen's amp!!!"
But, hey, Joan Jett graduated from my high school. Kinda. Some aspects were unclear, but she's in the yearbook. They even played at dances!
It was something in the water, probably.

I can't seem to unscramble this these are the letters I have: SLAMVEAR did I miss something? Yes, I'm afraid so - the circles, read from top to bottom, makes a word, there's no anagramming needed for this one. If you posted your letters in that order, we can say which are incorrect... One hint there's no M and only one A in the answer

Help! I am not very good at crosswords at all. I am using the completed grid from MPC and am still stuck on 13D, 18D, 21D,52D, 51A, 57A and 67A (Hiccup's Blade is called Inferno which obviously does not fit!) Any help would be appreciated! Thanks for indulging me

I'm stubborn. I don't want to use MPC's clues at all. Did anyone solve this without the use of letter amounts or the grid?
