In the meantime, you could get a Fidget Cube. And you never know, it might come in handy during Filigree. You really want that cube, mmh?

My wife ended up loving CB, despite my misgivings, so I ended up getting her weeping book, C&C sub, and the mid tier membership kit for her birthday. Then this came around and I just let her look at the KS page. She was enthusiastic so we're getting this one as well. I will see what they learned from CB. Didn't make it in time for the earlybird special, but did get in before the t-shirt deal went away.

So, this latest missive from the Curator... did anyone else notice The Key peeling out of the black envelope?

I'm as excited about the Fidget Cube as I was about one of these: foreverspin.comTheir KS was only the brushed stainless one, it looks like they've branched out quite a bit. And yes, they are beautifully balanced and really pretty much spin forever. I like my little toys, what can I say?

Looks like The Curator mentioned giving a key without an indication of the lock that it opens. Clicking it just leads back to the Kickstarter page. Are we thinking that he's just referencing unlocking more stretch goals?

The key was the unmet stretch goal from The Century Beast, it wouldn't surprise me if it makes another appearance at an impossible-to-reach level this time as well

Oh no! No not unlocking The Key this time!

Actually, it would be much better to place the key at more reachable goal this time. If you put the same item at an unreachable goal twice, you're going to start annoying your supporters.

The key was at $500,000 last time, and there is currently already a $450,000 stretch goal.

Kicktraq projects a minimum funding of 599k CAD by the end of the campaign. I have found their predictions to be quite accurate in the past. So if the key is placed anywhere near the pledge level it was last time around, even if they offer it at 600k CAD, we should be able to make it...
There is also the question of how many people have already pledged for add-ons, such as the T-Shirt or the Arcane Seal, since the Architect has yet to inform backers how those will be handled. I know I already included the price for the Arcane Seal and shipping in my pledge, but there is probably some extra potential there.

So having read the description of the mailings and stretch goals, I think the artefact for filigree may be a Stereoscopic viewer, with the stretch goal unlocking additional 'slides' for it. That would seem to fit with the Victorian and photography theme.

I was thinking the same thing. I almost want to pledge for it, but I think I might be too far into once bitten, twice shy territory to do it.
I wish there was some kind of insurance policy I could buy.
