I cancelled my subscription just before The Dragon payment cut-off, but I am still a mail drop for someone who lives in the UK. I don't solve them, I leaf thru a little and I see the contents because I try to figure out if I can get the important stuff into a flat instead of a box because that's less expensive shipping. Sometimes I can and sometimes I can't.
I have to say that they totally stepped up the game on this one as far as inclusions go (that actually have real relevance to the story, vs a fortune cookie, incense, and a bottle of nothing important). Also, they've gone back to the old format of hints on the website vs leaving them pretty much in plain view. It looks like the puzzles are on a par with the previous installment of The Raven, which were a little meatier.
Seeing what they did with this one, I'm wondering if they already had Mad Hatter and The Dragon in the pipeline and ready to be shipped if/when they started getting complaints about Grave Matters, the first one that didn't have much in the way of meat and was nothing more than a nice hand-held walk thru Forrest City. Maybe ME was making them easier because people had trouble with Archon, The Raven, and Coraline, but they may have not realized they were listening to squeaky wheels and not their base? Maybe the Raven just has more possibilities? Well, OK, Grave Matters had a lot more possibilities than were used...
Who knows. Anyway, this one looks to be on a par with the original Raven -- except with MUCH nicer artifacts, most of which actually have a place in the story. I'm nearly sorry I cancelled my subscription if they're going back to this format on a permanent basis.
