I received the Century Beast Coloring Book in the mail. I tried to save as many images as possible from the Kickstarter campaign, but could not find an image of this. My recollection is that it was shown as a hardcover book. It is not. It is softcover and stapled at the spine (saddle-stitched in printing terms).
Lots of puzzles and interesting content (pictures to be completed, things to be cut out and reordered, etc.)
Anyone else receive it?

No, but now I am doubly annoyed with myself that I did not order it - this sounds great! You are right about the book, by the way. The mockup from Update #6 was indeed made to look like a hardcover. Here is the picture:

Beckett, it looks nothing like the photo you've provided. The cover is not printed in 4-color process (full color) and it's not hardcover.

They provided a picture of it on Facebook when they started sending them out. Still, I admit that now I would rather have it and complain about the quality than not have it.
Did anyone get a spare by any chance?

Beckett, you are in luck. I just noticed a post on the MPC's Facebook page: "This alternate version of the story of The Century Beast went out to Kickstarter backers today. It shall be available on our website soon!"
So, it appears you shall be able to buy one from the MPC. I shall have to buy a second copy myself so I can destroy the first one as required.

I shall have to buy a second copy myself so I can destroy the first one as required. Is it because of secrecy or the curse?

It's because I'm a hopelessly obsessive collector. The book has pages that require coloring, cutting, folding, and so on in order to yield its secrets.

So you need to buy two, like me.

Well, I could give one to me brother and order one for myself...

If you just want pages with the stuff on it, you can use a photocopier. Simpler than scanning. But I want a completed "book" all filled in and done. And another one still not fussed with.
