On a non-robe related subject, I was also thinking that the next issue could be about mythology seeing as how we are theoretically going to be tracking down the raskovnik's whereabouts... |

Robes or no, does anyone else think that Vol 3 might be leading up to a real life meet-up event?
The last set of messages we've received imply that we're going to have to bring the raskovink to A.M. somwhere. Also, there is the full page article about the "biggest gatherings" of things in issue 2.
I'm thinking maybe at Niagara Falls? The perfect place for something that has fans in both the U.S. and Canada. |

I'm thinking maybe at Niagara Falls? The perfect place for something that has fans in both the U.S. and Canada. I couldn't go, not that that would matter. I have "issues" that keep me mostly housebound. I can run a few errands a week, but a trip to Niagara would be out of the question. Not that that breaks my heart. So I would hope someone who does go, if going is needed, will gallantly keep the rest of us in the loop.  |

While it's certainly possible, I think a lot of people would be very disappointed, myself included, if the climax of Volume 3 is a meet-up that the vast majority of subscribers would not be able to attend.
MPC's attempt at bringing real world elements into C&C in the past was not terribly successful. The Bridge Letter sat under that rock for months before it was finally discovered.
Time will tell.

The Bridge Letter has become a legend among us "latecomers". We hear tales the old timers tell tales and gasp in awe at the missed opportunities and the valiant members who finally procured the actual letter, and then spent 100s of years in a vain attempt at breaking the unbreakable code. Sigh. I wish I had been there.

I just saw that an Issue 3 sub-board had been created and darted upstairs to get my hands on the latest issue. Then I came back down empty-handed, checked this again, and saw that it was an "Anticipation Thread." 😣

Some of it stems from V3I1, and there does seem to be a story shaping up, albeit far more subtly than the stories have in the previous two volumes (there is a thread around here somewhere where we've been discussing the "plot" and various theories about it). I'm somewhat skeptical that it will culminate in a real-world meetup, though. |

Oh my! That would be some meeting.. Shame I live in Europe. If my time and money would only permit such a wonderful trip to the Falls... But one day perhaps.. leave a letter under some rocks for me guys, will you..:-)

I'm getting so excited!! Feels like Ch2 came out ages ago. I'm eager for new puzzles! I've sent my robes to the cleaners, and my aluminum hat to the milliner for reblocking, so I'll be good and ready for the new issue.
Side note: Not sure aluminum hats need to be reblocked, perhaps hat shop is a front for SZ operatives?? Will wear Anonybag in meantime.

Estimated ship date is just a week away according to the MPC page! I'm as giddy as an agent of an unnamed government agency flying a black helicopter over the unsuspecting population below.... Not that I would know what that feels like as I am certainly not an agent of such an organization... because those don't exist....
