The timer on sandandsmoke.org/Andrew ran out at 12:01am this morning. What appeared is a spinning OSS logo, clicking it downloads a playlist file into itunes. The file is a repeating stream of numbers with a message preceding the numbers and a message following the numbers. I've made a Google Document of the numbers, which includes the messages. I believe this cipher is a book/Beale cipher.

My bad, I forgot to add the Google Document link: docs.google.com/document/d/12v8SkiDU2wMeNCdDjEwsrEi18ptOmFtR0VYjgoFo9IU/edit?usp=sharing

I entirely agree with you, enaxor. Thanks for uploading the numbers!
First off, I believe the recording says, "a dancing and maddening sigil", which of course made me think of the King in Yellow. Back with the Wayferere issue, several of us received small cards, on one side of which was an image, and on the other, a clue-phrase. With further nudging from Bernard, I think that the clues are the names of texts: Hamlet, Cool Hand Luke, and (Penguin's) Beowulf). The card that corresponded to the King in Yellow picture was Hamlet, so my guess would be that we're looking for the words/letters in the play.
Is there any easier way to search a text besides counting each word?
I also thought the recording might have said the Followers of Zosimos or something like that. There are alchemical connections with someone of that name, which would fit with the style of their SZ design, but that's somewhat a shot in the dark...

It makes sense that it should be sigil and not vigil. If you use sigil, the description of the key seems to be pointing us to "The Yellow Sign" a story, contained within "The King In Yellow." Thanks Chelsea!

Regarding your transcription, I find two errors.
Column 7, Row 13 should be 2053 Column 3, Row 21 should be 2935

Thanks Miguel! I edited the document to reflect the correct numbers and I changed the settings so anyone with the link can edit the document.

So, the next question, it seems, is whether the numbers correspond to The King in Yellow, or to another related text... Riddles within riddles...

Chelsea and others, be aware that the following redacted text contains quite the spoiler regarding the OSS Number text and what to do with it. www.opensourceshakespeare.org/views/plays/play_view.php?WorkID=hamlet

Nice! That's what I suspected... I wonder if we will be tested on the other two texts as well.

I wonder... how did we arrive at the \Andrew URL ? I know how we got to the root, but I don't recall any hints as to the deeper part.

Digby,
Chelsea was kind enough to post images on the wiki of items she's received along with the C & C issues. It was this image that led me to /Andrew.

Has anyone been able to identify the bit of music in the clip? It seems familiar, but I can't ever quite put my finger on it. Almost like a nursery rhyme or music box. Almost everything we've encountered thus far seems like it has been carefully chosen.
The other interesting bit was the agents marked Kappa.

I missed this whole thing when it happened. Did anybody download the actual recording and save it? I'd be interested in hearing the music in the clip, that Chelsea mentions.
