You can imagine my excitement when I got home from work today and noticed there was a mysterious package waiting for me on my door step!
The look of the package was not very suspicious at first sight, but as I opened it, I could sense the air of mystery surrounding the objects inside.
(My dear fellow member of Mysterious Package Company: In case you want to wait for your own package, I suggest you stop reading here, as I am about to reveal what I found inside.)
In my package I found: a newspaper, a half burned piece of wood with an evidence tag attached to it, a half burned membership card of Andrew---, a rock and ore sample physical analysis on a piece of paper, a piece of cloth with a suspicious symbol drawn on it (with blood?), a brass tag with digits (not similar to a tag somebody received earlier, new digits!!) on it, and an envelope with a M.P.C "survey"card in it.
I shall take a better look at the objects this evening, and try to photograph them. In the meanwhile, I am very eager to hear if anyone else has been receiving anything.

I am beside myself with anticipation! Thank you for sharing, Aura. This keeps getting better and better! I'm a little worried about receiving mine, though, since the reveal card from my recent experience should have arrived at least a week ago, but still has not.

I too have received the same items in this quarters package. It looks like the name on the card may be Andrew Moore, though most of the last name has been burnt away. I am looking forward to seeing the design on the piece of cloth so we can compare, it would be interesting if the rune were different.

I too returned home to a package this afternoon. I am most eager to begin the crossword, as that is already how I enjoy spending my evenings. My contents are the same as noted above.

I have completed, and organized in numerical order, much of the crossword. I have also noted the captions of a few of the images in the newspaper. They are definitely clues:
page 2: image of The Pieta caption "Not the E". Pita?
page 4: image of what looks like bocce balls? caption "Not the game" Balls?
page 6: image of woman with stroller caption "Not the stroller or its contents" Woman?

I have also received mine, Cant wait to compare the contents with others. My ID card def has an M after Andrew so could be Moore? The charred wood is very interesting as is the cloth with a Rune, Mine looks lil a child has drawn a tree, but only 3 branches on one side?

I believe the name to be Andrew McCabe? As in curios-and-conundrums.wikia.com/wiki/Andrew_McCabe
I am stumped on a few crossword answers, but I am making great headway!

Nice to hear I am not the only one receiving mysterious packages around here.
I uploaded some images to the Wikia few moments ago. Please take a look and let me know what you think of them. Please forgive me for the poor picture quality, I'll try to take better photos later.
And Pippa, I also noticed the captions on the newspaper and agree with you that they must be clues.
This is getting very interesting indeed.

Here is a comparison between the two membership cards received from the Curator. The first has the date of 1931 while the second is dated 1967. They each share the same circular image but the first image is slightly different. Under ANDREW MCCABE the letters ARC(I?) are visible.

Thank you Chris, the name is significantly more burnt on my card, it is definitely Andrew McCabe again. I wonder if it is the same person, or perhaps a son of the same name. It looks reasonable to assume the fabric with the red markings is from the bag mentioned in the article about the mine, as is the mineral sample. I wonder what the mysterious silver substance was...

My membership card is very burned in comparison as you can only make out the M in the surname and nothing else. I like that we are not all receiving completely identical puzzle pieces meaning that we have to work together on this to solve it. :-)

I hope one of our associates resides in the appropriate locale or is inclined to make the trip, I fear to get there from my country would be a lengthy endeavor worthy of Phileas Fogg. Due to an unsavory interaction with a customs agent, my border crossing has been declined. I have dispatched an associate to explore the target area, and have given them explicit instructions to document their findings and leave things just as they found them. I will, of course, share my findings with our fellow associates who are unable to make the journey themselves, and hopefully the destination will remain intact for any associates who have better social skills than I, and can tolerate grilling about what fruit they brought along for a snack. The nerve of these border agents astounds me. It's like they've never seen an Asian pear before.

Pippa,
Thank you for your kind words.
I forgot to add that I too received a burnt copy of what clearly is a membership card for Andrew McCabe bearing the same spherical logo as depicted on other cards that have been found and similar to the one mentioned in the Socialite's current article.
I also have a piece of charred wood, tagged as evidence and dated 10/05/69, which I believe is from the destroyed location mentioned in the Socialite's article. I have a piece of cloth, with a strange glyph painted in red ink, similar to the one described in the Chilliwack Progress article. Finally, I have a report from the Royal Geological Society that shows the test results from a sample of rock from the mine mentioned in the article.
For fear of spoiling the adventures of others, I will refrain from further discussion, but my investigations are beginning to piece together a cohesive story and disparate items are beginning to come together.
I am eager to learn more...

After a brief examination, it looks like I don't have anything beyond what everyone else has received in their package. (Although on an unrelated note, I did find my brass tag, though it had the same number as the other one posted. C'est la vie.)
I also think I figured out what the dancing men were trying to tell me, but I have a poor head for codes. I'd like confirmation, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone else, so I'll keep my lips sealed until later.
I'm sure there's more to it, but I can't yet wrap my brain around it. Only time will tell.

I think I too have done my dancing and understood what the men were trying to tell me, but perhaps due to my peculiar place of residence the men have yet remained silent. So, I can only guess. I am very eager to hear what Digby's associate will find out.
Also, my mind is buzzing with clues, and I am not sure what we should do next (apart from the trip we are about to take). I truly envy Dan who has been able to put together a cohesive story!
It would be great to hear what all of you have found out and see if we have understood things the same way. Would it be possible for us to converse about our findings without possible spoiling anything for anyone else?

Unfortunately, my initial envoy was thwarted by not having a vehicle and not having friends who are tolerant of traffic. I have reached out to a secondary envoy who is willing, but wary, based on the amount of mystery involved. Perhaps they had a bad experience with mysterious adventure in the past... that might explain the facial scar. I'll send updates as soon as they are available.

My envoy is nearing the destination and will likely have a full report this weekend. I'm wondering how best to present the information... I was thinking a separate thread with the word "Dancing Man - spoilers" in the title, as well as adding the information to the Wiki...
What are everyone's thoughts on the matter?

That plan sounds lovely. It strikes me that a warning in the title should clearly indicate the contents, and anyone entering is well aware of what they could encounter.
I too have a proxy en route, as long as his attention does not wander as has been known to happen. He has been advised of other adventurers as well as that he should make a permanent record of anything found but leave everything in its original spot.
Such excitement!

I think a separate thread for the report would be wise, perhaps labeling it as spoilers and redacting the contents as well so nobody views it by accident. I am very excited about the report of what is at that location, I hope your adventurer has little trouble finding the place.

We seem to have received some help from our Curator.
I think these dark blocks I see above will help us keep the discussion going. It would be nice to discuss our findings here and solve mysteries together without having to use these modern things such as electronic mail that are indeed handy at times, but spoil us the fun of working together as a team.
But, I also agree: perhaps it is good the label threads so that they indicate the contents clearly and warn about the possible spoilers.
