Any nudges on this category? I've researched hedgehogs but come up with nothing useful. There are two fables about hedgehogs but the hedgehog does the tricking. I've looked through Sonic the Hedgehog and haven't found anything useful there either. What am I missing?

I also found much about hedgehogs doing the tricking, until I remembered to use quote marks while googling. Only two items came up, and one of them led me by the hand to the answer.

Someone from Serbia would have probably known this right away.

tortoises are also tricked into procuring it, for what that's worth.

Its also worth noting that there are alternate spellings of this. I dismissed the answer that I knew because it wasn't 9 characters long. SO, if you think you have a good answer that is not the right length. Look again. I'm happy because I did the leaf and the beaker on my own with no browsing of the forums. So far, that has been the minority for me.

I'm a bit confused...I've solved all of the Night puzzles for Issue 1 in the Vault (with no small amount of help from the members of this forum, so thank you all!), but I don't have a leaf puzzle in the Day section. I have the Flask (solved), the Key (no bloody clue), and the Eye (in progress) and the Snowflake (solved) which appeared when I solved some of the Night puzzles from Issue 2. I received all three issues almost simultaneously as a gift from my wife, so I'm playing catch up and I'm a bit late to the party. At what point does the Leaf show up on the Day side?
On a side note, has anyone listened closely to the sound when switching from Day to Night? It sounds like a whispered voice or something...

Welcome! I hope you are enjoying the adventure.
The leaf shows after you open the key.
The switch sounds have been downloaded, played forward and backward, sped up, and slowed down, and the best guesses I've heard are "stay strong" and "very good".

Todd, thank you very much! Is there a discussion thread for the key? I didn't see one. I'm thinking it has to do with the Night Map solution and the symbol in the compass, but I'm not sure where to go from there...

Just a clean up note... I believe this thread needs to be moved to the list non-issue specific Volume 3 threads.
Also, a question: Is this the last lock from Chapter 1? After I solved it, nothing new showed up. Time to move on to Chapter 2?

OK, I'm done. In the absence of any obvious solution, I started to search for stories and legends concerning hedgehogs being tricked. After that fruitless endeavour, I turned to this thread where I saw the Serbia clue. With that significant refinement to my search, I have come up with Ježeva Kućica (Hedgehog's House) by Branko Ćopić but even after searching through every synopsis I could find, I am none the wiser as to what the hell the 9-letter answer could be! I don't particularly relish the notion of ordering a copy of the book itself since it may not even be the correct story and especially given the infuriating fact that many here have somehow entered a series of search terms in some specific order that has pursuaded Google to magically summon the solution from some otherwise impenetrable abyss of obscurity. Somebody please have pity and tell me where I've gone wrong.
