Greetings, everyone!
I apologize if this message falls into the wrong sub-forum. I really wasn't sure of the best place to ask this.
I've decided to purchase one of the MPC's experiences for myself. However, I know that the final mailing for each experience is a "reveal." Seeing as I'll know what it is, a reveal is hardly necessary. Furthermore, since when ordering, I'm asked if this is for myself or a gift for someone else, I'm curious whether or not the reveal is any different depending on what I choose here. It would be quite doable for me to send this as a gift for my wife, if that was more desirable.
So, to put it more simply, can anyone tell me if there is any difference in what is received dependent upon my choice of purchasing an experience for myself or as a gift?
Thank you for your attention.

Ooo this will be interesting. I hadn't thought about that either and have only purchased for someone else.

So far I've only ordered the Weeping Book for myself. I got monetarily sidetracked by the Armchair Detective Indiegogo campaign. I have already received the "crate", but have yet to receive the reveal. I'll be happy to post when it arrives.

Before the website change, the reveal was a cut and paste item that explained you were receiving items from the MPC from someone else. This was before the "For Myself" showed up, so perhaps it has changed? I hope so, to some degree, as I still have Risen to send to myself. I hope to one day pass these things down to my children, an old box in storage of all these mysterious things, just in case the MPC isn't still around then.

I received the "reveal" for The Weeping Book today (which I sent to myself). A cardboard mailer contained a black envelope about the size of a small invitation. All the writing is in gold. Inside the black envelope is a note (on quite thick cream colored paper) that explains that my experience is now concluded. The note also has a website that I can go to to discover who sent me the package (Experience). It was sealed with red wax (the note). While it gives the recipient enough information to join MPC if they want it is far short of a "hard sell". It was extremely respectful (by today's standards). All in all, I can not see how anyone would be anything less than happy to have such a note sent on their behalf. When I can (later today) I'll post non-spoiler pictures so you can see for yourself.

IN the last picture I used the envelope to cover - Dear (My Name).
The white paper is a (clean) square of bathroom paper folded twice and it covers the website that reveals the sender.
