Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but the intersecting letters spell ROSS RI AREA backwards. Is this some line of search that should be explored? I have been googling to no avail... Did you find DIANA? There are 4 letters in there that overlap other words.

I have worked the letters around and have found several things of interest: MK ULTRA, Lost Cosmonauts, Illuminati, etc. All, of course, related to conspiracies. I am leaning towards the answer having something to do with mind control. All of the words I've tried have been incorrect, but I can't get away from that theme. Perhaps I should put on my hat.....

Now we know that we are looking for A 6 letter initialism that relates to soviet espionage. Thers some debate about that. One theory is that the piece of text youre referring to may actually be part of a daytime puzzle.

Yeah, I guess it could be a daytime vault that comes after we unlock the nighttime vault. So many layers...

I am unsure if I haves something.. When I took Might be something work looking at I whole heartedly agree with this. I will try when I get back to my materials. It makes sense to use the two together since the overlay solved the crossword, it only makes sense the crossword will me needed to solved this one

If you don't use Russia you can make British or even Britain with some tweaking of the smaller words . I am still working on it..

So I've been staring at your spreadsheet, Moze, and something is jumping out at me. The leftover letters from doing the word grid (that you have so helpfully listed on the right of your 4th section (line 51) look ripe for anagramming into a statement of some kind. The first line could be "I AM A HATED" or "I AM AT HEAD". The second (as you said) could be 'WANDERS" or "WARDENS" or "WAR'S END". Line 8 I see "NO SYMPTOMS" and on line 9 I see "IT SORTS" or "ITS SORT". Basically, I am seeing a lot of things that could be coherent words. I'm wondering if there is a description of the code here (like the one for the crossword padlock)...

I tried at one point to make sense of it but hit some combos that didnt translate well. I definitely think its worth spending some more time on though. Guess I know what Im doing tonight ;D
