I don't think it's related to the puzzles, but has anyone used it as a musical instrument yet? I tried out some waxpaper last night but didn't have much luck. I think it would make a lousy musical instrument Lol very punny

I'm a little stuck with the final word on this one. I figured out The 5 letter code in the comb And found the hidden elements in the body of the bug *ick* I can even see how the 2 correlate, but as to the padlock, I'm stumped. Anyone with a nudge in the right direction? It's not an "obvious" solution. You have the five letter word "quick" then determine which element is between the two you found in the ad on the periodic table of elements when you put those two words together they become the alchemic word for something we all used to be familiar with. how did you get the five letter word the five letter word

@draxtraus look at the nitpicker comb and think in terms of A binary code. Each "letter" has 8 1's and or zeros.

OK, so here's where I am lost with this one - I've got this seven letter word from the nitpicker and it hasn't escaped my attention that this word is in one of the headlines on the first page but what do I *do* with the fact I have this word?

Aaaarrrrggghhhh found it, it's the Padlock.
I had no idea I had to visit the website and hit up the vault for this episode (this is my first issue btw and it only recently arrived), perhaps that's mentioned somewhere or is it a leap of logic I failed to make until just now?

No worries. You are not the only one to have had this "revelation". Some folks who got their subscriptions as gifts were also surprised by the vault.

So what I'm confused by is how you would need the comb, because they sell the catch ups that are only the newspapers - so I assumed nothing would be needed outside fo the papers.

There are several puzzles in volumes 1 and 2 that require curios. Fortunately, there is this forum and the wiki to help fill in the gaps. As for Volume 3, back issues currently come with all of the curios.

I must be the only person still struggling with the 7 letter word for this. Any help? Most of us will go to any length to achieve our ends.

So I had the words Quick and silver but couldn't think of a connection for the 7 letter word until I woke up this morning *slaps forehead*

I just stumbled across this post and the above link. Looks like there is a lot of useful items and hints, beginning with V3C2. Just curious why this exists and how it was communicated? Edit: Never mind. Just opened C3.
