I've only worked on this puzzle so far, because it's driving me bonkers. I've redone it completely twice and got the same "positions" for each agent. The positions I got are: North - Lima South - Bravo East - Mike West - Foxtrot Northeast - Alfa Northwest - Juliett Southeast - Delta Southwest - Kilo Kingpin - Echo But I can't get past "The Rules". I tried doing them in order of who got the package (using the directions and positions), but got a few word jumbles that don't make sense. Can anyone confirm these positions or aid in the next step?

I have the same positions for the agents. Here is what I get for the passing of the package A->L->J->F->B->D->M->L->E->L->F->L->E->F->K->B Is this what you have? I also get jumbles of nonsense letters when I apply the last set of rules. I wasn't sure which direction to apply the Caesar shift, but either direction gives me gibberish.

I have the same thing, assuming all of your "K"s but the last one stand for "Kingpin". I, too applied the Caesar Shift in both directions with no luck. I also get an odd number of letters by the time I get to adding Mike's initial to the very middle. SaveSave

SaveSaveNot that I've gotten any farther than you, but you can make AB into a palindrome two ways, ABA or ABBA.

Hit "reply" (not "Post Quick Reply") and when that page comes up, there's a smiley holding its finger in front of its lips where all the text settings are.

Ah! Ok, so the letter patterns you guys have are on the right track But don't forget about echo Also, when you are counting the letters to do the Caesars shift Start with the next letter. For example, a four letter shift starting with A, you count B, C, D, E. A=E.

I found it most helpful to solve this in three stages. First get the positions, then figure out where the package moves, THEN try to address the package. The rules don't come in until the end. And I did it five or six times at least. If you'd like specific step by step walkthrough help, we can handle that in the chat room easily.

Don't start from the top, start with the first person. I'm available for a step by step check in the chat room.

Ive posted my passing order above, I think its right. Here is the order that I am applying the rules. Does anyone have a different order? 5, 1, 7, 8, 6, 3, 9, 1, 1, 8, 1, 8, 2, 6 And here is the recipient name after the first few passes. Am I on the right track? LIMA, LIMJA, MA, AM, JV...

Argh, it was the very next step I was doing wrong. I was doing VJJV instead of JVVJ. Both are valid, but only one gets the answer. Doh! Got it now!

Get the order of the agents, get the movement of the package, then figure out the address. My problem is I don't have a clue as to the starting address for the package before the agents start manipulating the letters. My only thought is The author of one of the few articles with a byline. The one with the .... Compass rose.
