According to a Facebook post, this issue will come with a card game called Motherland that ties in with the theme of paranoia in this issue.
They have re-opened purchasing for the current issue until May 23.

They're estimating end of May, but historically shipping dates have been over-shot by a month or more.
The last issue went out as estimated, though.

Interesting to see what this game will be like! And the theme for this quarterly is Paranoia.
Shipping is supposed to be early June.

I wonder if we'll all get exactly the same deck. Haven't they sent out different curios to different people before?

I wonder if we'll all get exactly the same deck. Haven't they sent out different curios to different people before? Good question - the production value on that would be huge though. You'd think I'd be much more expensive than doing a single big print run. That being said - the theme is paranoia so I wouldn't put it past them.

I was thinking the same thing, if we might not get different parts of a deck to fuel our paranoia. I don't think it would that hard production-wise. You make a bunch of full decks, and divvy them up.

It's an expense issue. It's cheaper to run one big set than several small ones. But it could be done.

Unless it's like MtG, where they have different-colored factions. Then you have one deck, with different abilities.

This is how the curator should know he has a successful product - 3.2 isnt even out yet and we're all salivating and trying to second guess what it's going to be.

I very much like this bit from the curator's missive: (titled "In light of exciting news, my defiance reopens subscriptions to Curios and Conundrums")
"It might be said that all experiences are made up of distinct parts: the understanding of those being observed, their individual motives toward the other, the individual interpretations of each observer, and the collected thoughts of the three, discussing their theories days later. Shared experiences are subjective ones — if they are kept to ourselves. It is in the sharing that we begin to find common ground."
I very much agree. Without the help of you lovely people I would have never got through some of the puzzles thus far. You're a brilliant bunch.
As for the card game...who knows? I am secretly hoping we'll all at least get a few different cards. I think that would make sharing the experience together even more enjoyable.

I for one am glad subs were reopened. I found out about the MPC 2 days before closing- just enough time to join for the new series. Had I missed it by a day or so I wouldnt have joined. Looking forward to teasing out clues here on the forum with everyone.
What? The MPC website is down right after announcing shipping?

Site is up again, thoroughly overhauled.
It's pretty expensive to print playing cards, making it more likely we'll all receive the same cards.
