Hi all, I'm looking for the neat code that people are using to hide spoilers. I don't find it anywhere. thanks picante You can use the little 'shhh' emoticon at the far right of the buttons above where you type your post. Or you can place the word "spoiler" in square brackets at the beginning of your spoiler and "/spoiler" (with a slash) in square brackets at the end.

You only find the spoiler emoticon if you click reply. It won't show up if you click Post Quick Reply.

OH! EM! GEE!! Just received all the C&C volumes and issues to date. Started reading last night...oh, so very, VERY hooked. It reads like my favorite podcast, Night Vale! So, I will ask an incredibly, deliriously noobie question, because I can't quite figure it out: What, exactly, is the "sitting room?" Is it the specific section of this forum that deals with the specific issues of C&C?
I just began reading through the postings here and thought I would ask. (donning flame proof suit now! Play nice! :-D)
Oh...and cuz he said that I could invoke his name and magic might occur: Todd. :-P
Exiting with a bow...

The Sitting Room unfortunately no longer exists. It was a forum of sorts that used to be available on the MPC website.
They took it down in April and, in spite of promising it's return within a month, we're now told they have no plans to reinstate it at this time.

I have just started as well (with Vol 3, 1) and am solving the puzzles, but I am having trouble understanding where to find the idea for the meta answers. With a cooldown time, I can't brute force any word that fits the theme and length. I don't know what I am missing about seeing what works, especially for the puzzles with no real solution like Perplexi. I think I know one theme for the meta answers based on the 3 that I have, but there has to be more guidance somewhere. Otherwise, I can come up with loads of answers that might fit.

Welcome, Omegalazarus! The first thing you should do is register for a free account on this forum. It will open up some hidden areas where hints for various puzzles are given to those who seek them. Other than that, though, you've pretty much described the attraction to this game. The puzzles are unique, creative, and require non-linear thinking. Sometimes the solutions are obvious. Sometimes a great leap of faith is required. I hope you enjoy the ride.

You can't use the quick reply area in order to insert the spoiler. Click on the "Reply" button instead. Looking at the symbols across the top, you will see one of a smiley face with a finger to the lips--that is what you click on. Once the new area opens up, then type in your spoilery text.

Hi all! I am also a new subscriber and I have started with Issue 3 Volume 3 as per MPC suggestion. I am now wondering if this was a mistake. If I was to go back would you experienced members recommend going all of the way back to Vol 1 Issue 1 or just Vol3 Issue1? Thanks!!!

If I was to go back would you experienced members recommend going all of the way back to Vol 1 Issue 1 or just Vol3 Issue1? Thanks!!! I started with v1n1 and caught up before volume 3 started. I recommend that- there is a rich story in the first two volumes that we're only just now getting back to. That said, you can start at the beginning of volume 3 and not NEED the first two volumes, as none of the puzzles reach back- but it's a little like starting a new tv series on the third episode.

Hi all, im not quite a new subscriber yet. Ive only discovered the whole MPC today but I'm totally intrigued. I usually buy my teenagers a whole lot of books for Christmas but after reading about C&C im thinking this could be a much more interesting gift that we could all do together.
We've never done puzzles before as such but we love the escape rooms and have done a few of them, I am planning to buy the back issues and the current issues. I just need to check the shipping time and make sure We'll get it in time for xmas (UK).
Im going to have a good read of the forum in the meantime.

Don'r worry, order something simple - one of the volume three C&C issues I suggest - on its own, and it'll arrive in plenty of time - I'm also in the UK, and haven't had a problem with the back issue I ordered. If you order a lot in one go you may find problems (more to pack, more to go wrong), I don't know if 3.2 is still available but that was a pretty good place to start - or 3.1 if you can....or 3.3 to be bang up to date.

Time is of essence if you want to get in before the orders close for 3.4, as there is less than a month remaining to subscribe.
We've just been informed that Issue 3.3, not readily available as a back-issue, will be available through the MPC website when you subscribe for 3.4.
I expect there will be a Volume 3 Omnibus package becoming available late this year.

I expect there will be a Volume 3 Omnibus package becoming available late this year. Todd is right-- when I emailed MPC to get v3.3 since you can't order it on the site, they said it's not available now because it will soon be part of the omnibus. I kind of wish I'd waited for the omnibus since I'm now waiting on a special order of 3.3 after contacting MPC customer service, BUT if you order v3 before it goes omnibus only, you also get the curios (which so far I think have been pretty fun in v3, IMO). Also, I think the experience is better if you get all of the volume as a set... You technically can jump right in whenever, but there's a story arc that unfolds for each volume.
