What is the origin of the crossword sequence? It was a message posted in the Sitting Room, which was a forum of sorts that used to exist on the MPC website. Alas, it currently is no more.

For 17 A, the clue has a great deal of worth. For 5 D, where is the second in relation to the other two?

I am a new member working on volume 1 chapter three. May I please have a hint about ordering the words from the completed crossword puzzle? They put it in the (sadly) now defunct Sitting Room forum. Here is the list: A3:26 A6:8 A8:22 A11:21 A12:10 A13:15 A16:27 A17:18 A19:13 A20:25 A21:20 A22:11 A23:5 A24:19 D1:24 D2:14 D4:3 D5:16 D7:12 D8:1 D9:7 D10:28 D14:2 D15:9 D16:23 D18:6 D19:4 D22:17

Discuss the crossword puzzle here. Please provide hints, not answers, and use the Spoiler Tags to hide your hints (Press the button with the face holding a finger to its lips). For example: 1 Down - It ceases to exist as soon as you give it to someone else - If I told you, then it wouldn't be this. I have been working the crossword in chapter three and need a few nudges. Any help is appreciated. Also if I have a few of these correct probably over thinking some of these 12A 13A what wheat and corn is called sometimes? G 19A 23A 2D 8 D 14D

12A: Think of single letters. Be very literal.
13A: Think of the process to get a fine powder.
19A: Article as in speech
23A: Pole ______
2D: This one stumped me for a while, as I don't think of it as a __________ly used phrase. Think of a noun.
14D: What's a synonym for someone or something that's different? One word. In general, a good trick with these crosswords is to use contextual clues when you're putting together the phrase from the numbers next to the clues. I've solved a fair number of the tougher crossword clues throughout C&C by doing this. Be sure to reference MrKairo's post above for the numbers for this particular one.
