Thanks,Todd, for adding this section!
The Black Tapes is an intriguing podcast I think might appeal to MPC members. The basic premise:
Alex Reagan, an NPR-like reporter, starts out doing a podcast that focuses on strange jobs. In the course of her work on the initial episode on paranormal investigators, the focus of her prospective podcast shifts, and she begins to focus instead on a man who has made debunking the paranormal his life's work. But there are some cases he has encountered that even he can't explain yet...
In addition to the creepiness of the supernatural incidents depicted each episode, which should appeal to horror fans in general, one of the aspects I think would really appeal to folks here is that the podcast plays a lot with the idea of what is a meaningful connection between two things, and what is mere coincidence?

Just finished this one up. It's awesome. Also of interest is their other podcast Tanis.

I just started The Black Tapes! I love that it's at least partly based IRL, for example, Dr. Strand and his institute is a real thing. It would be fun to be semi-famous like him and have someone write a story with you in it, I think XD

I enjoy both the Black Tapes and Tanis. Though I find Tanis to be more backstory heavy with mentions of previous characters who made such little impact I had already forgotten them. Tanis does seem to tie in nicely with The King in Yellow as Tanis reminds me of Lost Carcosa.
Though the one thing that annoys me about the style of both podcasts but mostly Tanis is the repetition of what was just said as a question. "I found an interesting article about X" "An interesting article about X?" Yes Nick, you don't need to repeat what was just said. Unless you are so drunk you need it repeated. I didn't see you at the bar. If I had I would have offered you a ride home. Asta drove. Also, if they could just skip the whole "Can you email it to me?" "Already done" exchange every time.
