Also, if anyone else was wondering, the face is Guillaume de Machaut, and the image is mirror flipped from the original portrait it is based on, and the pixelation/lines appear to be a style imposed on it, as those things are not evident in the original portrait. No idea if that is truly meaningful or just design, though some stuff around the eyes looks intentional and in one case almost legible. A while ago you noticed the way the page was presented. I think you were talking about the tear on the right. Design-wise all the people on the front are pointing to the tear, or whoever was in the next page. I don't know why Machaut is flipped, but he created songs/poetry that Joan of arc liked.

Just because I haven't seen it mentioned here 1 Voie de Musique translates to "1 Music Way", the old address of Columbia House.
Highland, if loosely translated to French, would be Terre Haute, the city in which Columbia House's headquarters was located.
47808 is the zip code for Terre Haute, Indiana.
Lorraine...I dunno. The Lorraine group is a rock formation found in Indiana (as well as quite a few other states) that can hold fossils dating back to the Ordovician Era. In a completely unrelated note, the singer Lorraine Feather sings a song entitled Indiana Lana. Interesting, but the connections seem pretty tenuous.
Lorraine is a place in France, where Machaut did things.

That reminded me Right around the time of Joan of Arc, there was a prophecy about a young woman who would save France, and the woman was supposed to come from the borders of Lorraine. Turns out, many people in France at the time believed that Joan of Arc was the "Maid of Lorraine". Wikipedia

I noticed that the Maison du Columbie page has an order form in the lower left corner. On it there are a series of lines along the right side. Presumably, these are for "ordering songs". However, these lines are far too short to write almost any of these song listings. They are each only long enough to write, say, one word per line. Perhaps words starting with a certain letter? And then maybe we could send them in. Perhaps if we had some sort of addressed envelope? Or am I reaching? You're not reaching. I cut mine out and sent it in the mail. Haven't received a response and it hasn't come back - so it went somewhere...

It's interesting that all of the places in the backstory are real. Delmonico's, the Cairo hotel, the piece of cube art mentioned in the medium story... Yep - they're real.

At 3" x 4.25", it is under the minimum size for mailability (3.5" x 5") according to USPS rules. Unfortunately, unless you put it in an envelope, it most likely went straight into a garbage can.

Well that officially stinks. My business sends out stuff with business reply cards all the time - no envelope needed - and it works fine for us. And I don't think that's what the envelope was for as the return card has a different return address as I recall. That being said, you'd probably know better than I. I just suspect that if there's a reply card that has a return address on it that's available to be cut out and sent then they've probably made arrangements. Those Canadians can be awfully crafty after all...

Do you think The alternate spelling of Guillaume is a reference to Uncle Gully?

Guess we will learn that soon enough.

Never did. I was sad. I think it probably never went anywhere and ended up in postcard heaven,
