This was not marked as a puzzle, but knowing from the old C&C, it was always a good idea to look closely at everything. So, judging from the title and from the name of the Medium I looked closely at anything on a linguistic level, heck even phonetic, level that striked me as odd. First thing was a bunch of words, that were somehow interesting in use or place, and oddly all started with /p/ here they are. peas petals
poppets perigee (moon) pretzel
pay-up
pay-back
punches Does someone think, this means anything? Does one of you has other ideas here? Also the conversation about the Oxford comma mentioned 6 things: fishnets, opera gloves, satin corsets, micromini, breast forms, size 12 gogo boots What do you make of that?

It reads to me as if the Medium is not cisgendered, hence the height of 6'5" and the aforementioned wardrobe as well as the plosive speech.Trans and Cis are both morphemes so someone's clearly being clever about their linguistics play even if it's not a puzzle per se.

I think you might be onto something with the "P's". If you go back and look at the picture associated with Lottie McModdy and look closer at her arm the special letter and the letter P are hidden in the tattoos.

You are right. And when I started looking I just found an L in the American Lady shoe ad I noticed that as well, and also what might be a "B" about a quarter of the way down on the right side of the rock cliff of the Niagra Falls picture, but that might be purely accidental.

This story clearly fits in with the theme of the issue - things aren't what they appear. I suspect that Alamo cube is going to play a key part. Look it up on Wikipedia. Very interesting.

Thanks, that is very helpful! I was not able to find a clue about this cube before. You bet. Turns out the hotel where the Medium lives is a real hotel. You can find it on google maps. Just down the street from the cube. It appears that this is a bit of a murder mystery and sometimes understanding the orientation of things geographically is helpful. happy hunting.

Thanks, that is very helpful! I was not able to find a clue about this cube before. Most of the sites call it the Astor Place Cube. The Alamo was Sculptor's wife's nickname for it.

A few things I noticed the first Tuesday of March in 1968 is the 5th the day the US launched the solar Explorer 2 to study the moon. the Perigee moon was on Mar 26 1967 but the Alamo Cube notes November 1967.. May not be of relevance but the 6 items mentioned 3 are iconic Vicorian and 3 are iconic 1960's Also the ghosts: Chardonnay eludes to the horoscope Ace the gutarist - Kick? (music) Harmony - Auntie Agony possibly Wooed on the Web Phew!
