The Nov 1, 2020 issue of Popular Mechanics magazine has a beautiful cover and a very interesting article about magic (tricks). David Copperfield type magic. Here is the cover: imgur.com/a/9sYIzoU

I recently rediscovered my love for magic tricks a year or so ago. I may need to get a copy of this issue, if even for the cover alone.

I recently rediscovered my love for magic tricks a year or so ago. I may need to get a copy of this issue, if even for the cover alone. If you have a kindle you can buy just the on issue, until the next issue is released. Of course you can get a real copy from pretty much any bookstore I would think.

Got the issue delivered today; I completely forgot that magazines are 75% advertisements. If only there was some kind of adblock for real life.
The cover story is about Jim Steinmeyer, who I am unfamiliar with but whose list of credentials is unassailable. Apparently he was the one who designed Copperfield's vanish of the Statue of Liberty. Going to have to do some research on my end.

Jim Steinmeyer wrote some terrific books on magic history. I rather liked Hiding the Elephant and The Glorious Deception.
