We think we're making some progress on this. There are two basic things going on: The first digit comes from the 3x3 square in the upper left corner. There rest of the digits appear to correspond with the gaps in the path through the square. Some gaps are skipped, though. |

This is working pretty well and even worked on two of the four squares on pages 44-45, but the other two didn't work. Reverse engineering didn't help either. Progress is being made, though.
Edit: I think we've got it!

OK. Just getting back to this a little tonight. So far behind the rest of you now. I may be nudging for hints. I tried to count the numbers of blocks between the spaces and that didn't help me. So going back at it again. I have no idea how to get to the Knick Knack Metropolis discord. Some more explicit instructions may be helpful for me and others like me.  EDIT = Still haven't gotten back to this. Work has been busy and I've been drafting a 30 page report...by the time I'm done at the end of the day, my brain doesn't want to do any more thinking. Hopefully over the long weekend coming up...... |
