My wife and I pored over these for the entire weekend and got all the phrases correct, I believe, until I double checked against some of the hints here and found I had a mistaken interpretation of HT. Thanks to a single hint here, however, I believe I corrected it and now have the answer. *whew*... this was the last of the puzzles I attacked, and proved to be the most formidable. I have yet to arrive at the final solution... I am enjoying the HELL out of this.

I must have done something wrong because I'm not getting a single word. Grr! If I have one wrong, it's FS. Is the answer to that clue what a robber would say when threatening a cashier at a register ? If not, then I need to go back to the hive.

Think more, I suddenly understand what this puzzle is all about, and if that doesn't help, perhaps visualizing the birds in kick will.

I'm still having troubles solving some of these...even after reading some of the clues in this section. HT GTDA WOA IAM FS OAK Caveat: these are what I came up with, but at least one of my solutions in this puzzle is incorrect. I don't think it's these solutions, though....
For HT, think
small-town, sadly lacking in equines
WOA
I'm gonna find this clue, I'm gonna get it get it get it get it
GTDA
I'm giving you a hint here, hoping that you might return the favor....
OAK
this is a unique puzzle, isn't it?

this is a unique puzzle, isn't it? The answers I got fit with your hints pretty nicely, so I'd say you got all of those correct. As far as the others, IAM Maybe this isn't unique, but it's still pretty rare. FS I'd be careful with this one around all the pretty chickens...

Even with that spoiler, FS is still my sticking point. Why oh why is this one so confounding?

Any hint for BASTB? That's the only one I'm still stuck on. The Osmonds might tell you otherwise.
