It appears that most (if not all) puzzles in this issue contain puzzles within them. Solve the puzzle on the surface first, then look deeper. Questions on either level should be discussed here. Regarding the hidden puzzle, keep in mind that size matters.

Has anyone noticed this is The key to decode a hidden message in another puzzle?

Has anyone noticed this is The key to decode a hidden message in another puzzle? Yup. And a rather ominous message it is, too. Though I'm still not sure what to do after I depart florin.

And a rather ominous message it is, too. Though I'm still not sure what to do after I depart florin. That's easy. Frame Guilder for murdering the Princess Buttercup.

Am I correct in assuming that this is a Playfair cipher that sets up the letter table for another puzzle?

Am I correct in assuming that this is a Playfair cipher that sets up the letter table for another puzzle? Actually, I think it's a little more straightforward than that. Then again, this is my first C&C and I've been at it for less than a week.

Letter substitution, then?

Letter substitution, then? Have a look at that puzzle. Does it resemble any other puzzles?

Ok, this is my first issue and I admit Im tracking on the coat tails of all the other members. I havent done previous issues. Care to point a (rather large) helping hand in the right direction? Ive solved all the first layer puzzles and am understanding the second but this sounds like a 3rd on the perplexle? Aah!

Ive solved all the first layer puzzles and am understanding the second but this sounds like a 3rd on the perplexle? Aah! What are you missing on Perplexle? As for the first layer I have to admit, I haven't really found what I would call a surface-layer puzzle here. Perplexle isn't something you can "solve" like the Word Find or Crossword. As for the second layer I'd say the second layer is the below-the-surface puzzle within the puzzle which has been previously alluded to as Lilliputian and requiring a very close look. I've found this second layer puzzle, but I'm not aware of anyone that's really sure what it means yet.
Then there's the third layer I tend to think of the third layer as when you start combining across puzzles to find even deeper meaning. In this case, there are two puzzles with very similar morphology which might lead one to think they can be combined somehow.
