If anyone has marked up their copy inadvertently and is struggling to work on this one because of it, I have a (relatively) clear scan that I could send to you if you'd like. Just message me.

You know, the thing that continues to bother me about the under puzzle here is that I am in a maze of twisty little passage that are not, actually, all alike...

I'm also bothered by no surface puzzle? Maybe I'm totally missing something here but i feel like there's GOT to be something related to the 29 points mentioned.

I agree- i thought maybe it was just my copy, but the path i have is not a straight one, i have options Yeah, that bothers me too. If you look at the lines that make the maze very closely, though, they aren't the same. There are 3 types of them, one of which has directional qualities. And the blockers aren't the same either (though many of them are). They aren't specific to a direction, so I don't think it's just a printing thing. I think it's intentional. But I haven't gotten any kind of handle on what it might mean.
And like you, I don't really feel there's a surface puzzle here. Sure, the Boggle-like game could be, but there are so many different solution words that I don't see how it contributes to things in the way the other puzzle solutions do.

So people have already mentioned two hidden puzzles in this one the Patently Ridiculous key and the maze But I found one other method of analysis that yielded a couple of hidden words. Am I the only one? try a new perspective Also, hello! I'm new to this - this is my first issue. You all have helped me tremendously.

The letters are all facing in different directions. Why is that?

Its hard to tell which way the Os and Is are facing. I am getting a few words, although I don't see how the fit in with anything else. Turned Counterclockwise anagrams to FROWN. Turned Clockwise anagrams to either RUDEST or RUSTED.

Turned Clockwise anagrams to either RUDEST or RUSTED. I found the same number of words as you - but not the same words. Well, one is the same, the other not. Try using all the letters available to you I don't know how they fit in either, but your missing word is one I find intriguing.

I have nothing with the O's however I did find an interesting word too part of which eludes to a variety of tree!

Ok, so maybe it's time to revisit this puzzle... What we know: The Perplexle is the same size and configuration as the Patents puzzle. And as such, when combined, we get the elusive riddle "you are poisoned not powerful" The letters all face different directions, and at least two groups of them can be anagrammed to actual words. The maze in this puzzle is curious, not least of all because it seems to be directional, so that may matter, somehow. Following the maze in only straight lines divides the letters in half; again, those groups anagram out to at least a couple of phrases, but since we already have a full phrase with all the letters, I'm not sure if that signifies. Some of this might seem redundant, but it can't hurt to take a fresh look at things! In keeping with the rest of the issue, it seems that the answer should be a single word that starts with the letter C. We also know that it is 4 letters long. We know that it's not code, clue, crap, cube, coal, corn, cave, cure, czar, colt, cell, crux, claw, or coup. Other than that, I'm still stumped.
