Anyone see this? Looks interesting. I loved Wilson Wolfe in spite of a couple of rough edges, so this looks promising. labyrinth-0.launchrock.com/

Just the kind of puzzle package I love. But who are they? Will there be a web store or will it be Kickstarter? And is there any kind of window for production and shipping. It looks like someone had an idea and is trying to see if there is enough interest to bother with it.

This one is killing me. In general, it looks fantastic, and the cost of the standard version actually doesn't seem too bad for what you get. But the "collective" doesn't seem to have a clear history (they don't appear on Google under that name), and I definitely need to see some puzzles before I can make a decision to back. It's also strange to me that the standard experience doesn't include the prequel puzzle. For whatever reason, this one is raising some flags for me.

Answers to questions posted by a backer who says they were burned by ADC.
1. The puzzles and the ambition of the project: We appreciate your note that this is a puzzle challenge that is based on physical puzzles and puzzle boxes. We are a team with extensive fabrication and graphic design experience, and in-house fabrication equipment (we are the proud owners of a laser-cutter, cnc mill, and 3D printer). We have designed, and will manufacture all of the puzzles ourselves (question 4). All of the puzzles pictured are actual prototypes from the game. Much of the artwork is original, and other pieces come from existing works that we have altered to include elements from the game puzzles. Manufacturing the puzzles and materials is one way that we are ensuring that the funds raised from the Kickstarter will go towards the actual puzzles, and not towards off-site manufacturing costs, which we've seen really bog down other projects.
2. The Deluxe Edition: We love the feel of wooden mechanical puzzles and puzzle boxes, and puzzles in the Standard version of the game will be made primarily out of Baltic birch and pine, both of which are a durable and high-quality materials that are the industry standard, and they will be sanded, stained, and sealed to provide a quality finish. Puzzles in the Deluxe version of the game will be made from varieties of hardwood that are considered to be more premium materials for woodworking (like maple, oak, and walnut) which have a rich grain and texture. These kinds of woods have a great feel to them, and they complement the look of the game as high-quality artifacts. Puzzles that will be upgraded in the game include all of the physical puzzles, including the puzzle boxes, larger locked boxes, and the mechanical puzzles (at least 15 puzzles that are integral to the game, and potentially more as stretch goals are unlocked). Additionally, the paper puzzles in the deluxe version will be upgraded to art-quality prints on museum quality paper. In a nutshell, the standard version is more for backers who would like to play the game with well-crafted components, while the Deluxe and Collectible versions are more for backers seeking beautifully and meticulously crafted display-quality puzzles that are both part of the game and keepsakes in their own right.
3. The Nested Quality of the Puzzles: While some puzzles will be hidden or locked within other puzzle boxes (like in the puzzle safe), others will be accessible in the overall crate, and it will be up to the solver to piece them together and discover their significances as the narrative and clues unfold.
The Labyrinth Puzzle Challenge is a passion project for us, which is one of the reasons why we set our initial funding goal at only $10,000. We played and loved the Wilson Wolfe Affair, and want to craft the puzzles ourselves so that we can create an experience like this one, and not like other elaborate puzzle campaigns that have over-promised and dramatically under-delivered. (Not to name any, but we understand what you mean when you say that you’ve been burned.) Our goal is to create a unique, well-crafted, and immersive experience that we and our backers can be proud of.
