Why am I suggesting a virtual 5K/10K in the game category you ask? This year's theme is a murder mystery, with a tie-in podcast puzzle booklet! I received my race pack/puzzle book in the mail yesterday and the puzzles look promising. To my knowledge they've never done puzzles in the races before, so I'm definitely impressed. The stories for the basic runs are really solid, I've been using the Zombies, Run! app on an off for five years but this is my first time doing one of their extra races because, well murder mystery + puzzles. The teaser podcast is pretty funny and sets up an interesting story, listen HERE Sign up for the run HERE

I'm very excited about this; just got the puzzle booklet in the mail and it looks great. Also, for what it's worth, Zombies Run has been amazing with how long and consistently they've been going for. I used them way back in the day (at least five years ago now, maybe more) and as far as I can tell they've been releasing new content constantly since. The tech is a little annoying (if there's a way to run without your phone, I would love to know about it), but I've done some races with them and they work great. The training runs for them are often just as fun as the actual races!

The creator of and several contributors to RZR have strong backgrounds in puzzle-based ARGs, including the amazing Perplex City.

I've had a lot of time at home to work on the puzzles since they shut down my work for the next two weeks. They're really well thought-out and I'm stoked for the runs.

Got my Zombies Run kit in the mail today. First time trying this. I'm not disappointed in the least with the content and looking forward to tackling the booklet. What better times for a virtual 5K!
