Hello everyone. I wasn't sure which thread to put this in so am going to post it here. Since The Jersey Devil and NJ popped up several times in Vol 3 Issue 1, I thought some of you might enjoy this video I found on YouTube, which has a few bits about the Jersey Devil in it. I know some of you are from New Jersey so I want to say I am not calling the Jersey Devil fact or fiction - I am leaving that judgement up to you. Enjoy and have a pleasant day

I've posted a lot of things, about two parts of the story: the map and the symbols. The clues do lead somewhere, but if I post any more it would spoil things. There's enough there that it will lead to something. It may or may not be important, but I really want the story to be going this way!

I know they would be appreciated, especially as I can't make heads nor tails of the symbols *or* the map and would love a nudge!

That thing scares the heck out of me. People in Jersey KNOW, man. There's no on the fence. Especially when one is descended from Pineys like I am...

Greetings All Who Puzzle in These Halls, After a lengthy hiatus, Agent CE7 and I have actually booked a remote getaway in an inspiring location to crack the ice on four back issues of C&C, Vol 3 Issues 1-4. Despite the pragmatic childhood programming of "Do Your Daily Work" and "Slow and Steady Wins the Race" intoning endlessly in my mind, I fear we've been too precious with our packages, wanting to wait for the best time to truly savor the experience, and as a result simply getting more and more behind the Community. So this is my reintroduction in what seems the best place for it. Again playing catch up, I have once more tasked myself with struggling to the point of insanity and then making a study of the forums to seek out that one next nudge that will push us forward. Though I occasionally fail to avoid reference to something completely foreign, I remain faithful that all will reveal itself in time. CE7 and I have completed the Word Search, Spot the Difference, Crossword, Minced Words, and Perplexle, all the with the: Resulting word associations which we have successfully entered into the Vol 3 Vault. I think I know what we next must do with the Patent puzzle, I obliquely understand after some in-depth forum reading what to do with the Horoscopes (more than any of the rest this one betrays how rusty my puzzling skills have become), Short n' Sweet is thus far completely impenetrable (despite initial clues to get started), and we have not yet moved to the Map. I will post in those designated conversations if so stymied that even the hints therein cannot help and I need additional assistance. I've otherwise very much enjoyed reading all the conversations going on about the articles, and getting to know some new people while enjoying familiar faces. Though I yearn for the comforts of the Sitting Room and Bernard's masterful concoctions (he was ever so accommodating), it would seem that door has been sealed for good. Alas. I am very pleased, however, that this forum has grown to be so robust since its inception. Bravo and many gratitudes to Todd and all the Administrators, the organization is a godsend after the labyrinthine passages of the Original. If I may, I have chosen to retain some of the linguistic affectations of my Sitting Room persona, if only because every small bit of romance helps in a world seemingly devoid of it otherwise. In solidarity, The Mabling
