This appears to be a new Experience of some kind. Only announced on social media, and it looks like there will be more info on Monday:

I was wondering if it was a post mortem thing

It seems to have a Post Mortem vibe to it.

Oh they've been on quite a roll; I'd say their last three or four products have been very, very good. This is a no brainer purchase for me. Also, I'm excited that one of the items in this Experience will let me use something that I've only had the chance to use once before in a different puzzle experience (yes I'm being vague).
Also worth noting; in the email announcing this, they also said they'll be coming out with the third and final Post Mortem product later this year. I guess that whole product line didn't go as they were expecting...

I don't know if this makes a difference, but the mailing actually reads, "...third and final Post Mortem LA Case."
Could there not be other Post Mortem cases that did not involve LA?
Mind you, I have no idea what "LA" means, having not done any Post Mortem cases.

Mind you, I have no idea what "LA" means, having not done any Post Mortem cases. You know, that's a very good point. There's certainly no reason that Post Mortem couldn't be somewhere else, though so far it's been very LA noir; hard to picture it as anything different. So for those of us who've been following the MPC, do you think this Experience might be the remnants of that canceled sci-fi Experience, Cold Signal? I've always wondered why they hadn't gone back to sci-fi.

Weren't the earlier Post Mortems set in 1920s or 1930s LA? If so this Sci Fi one set in the current day is a disconnect...and so I would then say that they are discontinuing any and all further Post Mortem type experiences.

No no, sorry, I probably shouldn't have mentioned Post Mortem. This is unrelated to Post Mortem; totally separate Experience. Post Mortem was just separately mentioned in the email announcing this as it was a general Dread Holidays email with upcoming events and new products.

I do hope they'll continue the box mystery concept and perhaps re-invent it.

I doubt that this would be a remnant of Cold Station. From what I recall, that experience was set at an Arctic Research station. This is more of a kid’s adventure. I may be a sucker but I bought Cadet Turner to check it out!🙄

We’ve done the first two Post Mortem experiences and liked them very much. We were, however, very disappointed with the Hunt for the Forgotten Tomb - there didn’t seem to be much to solve or as clear of an ending plus, being in one mailing, we found the answer right up front and then spent the rest of the time sorting through the crate trying to figure out if there was something more.
For those of you who’ve done this one, how’d it compare to Post mortem in terms of a linear story with puzzles to solve and a clear ending?

Cricket, this Experience is both not Post Mortem and hasn't been released yet. The final Post Mortem case, which I'm getting next week, is here: mysteriouspackage.com/collections/catalogue/products/post-mortem-la-lucha-muerteI'm going to move this and all other posts related to Post Mortem to the thread about La Lucha Muerte later today so we can stay on topic.
