I had just written a long post, but deleted it since frankly what Bronzers will get/or got in their crate is not going to be clear to us until a Bronzer gets it and posts here. But if it is not the "trinket," and by this I take it that you mean the necklace with the runic symbol inscribed on a piece of bone, then what else can it be?
And if it isn't the small electronic device I received as mailing 5, then what exactly is coming in my sixth mailing? Is it Chapter 4? (If so, then whatever it contains is not what the Bronzers were supposed to get in their crate when the original Kickstarter campaign was conceived.) Is the big crate the seventh mailing? And finally the two Kickstarter exclusives (Interlude and C&C Epilogue) for mailings 8 and 9. The reveal makes it 10. Where in there is space for an item from "Chapter 3" that will be sent in a "crate" as clearly stated on the Kickstarter page if it is not the item I mentioned hidden in the spoiler text above? And with that, I give up from exhaustion.

Genii, these are the Gold and Diamond mailings best as we understand them. Mailing 1: Prologue Comic Book page - Gold and Diamond got this. Mailing 2: Chapter 1 Diary, etc. from Pico de Orizaba Gold did not get this, Diamond did. Mailing 3: Interlude, KS Exclusive photo of the doomed expedition and the dig contract. Gold did not get this (yet), Diamond did. The interlude is supposed to come between chapters and at this point, Gold had not received a chapter. Mailing 4: Chapter 2 The magazine article, the glossy from the auction house, and the amulet. I take the amulet to be the small artifact from the KS description of Chapters 1, 2, and 4. Gold did not get this, Diamond did. But: Gold did get a copy of the magazine article (no amulet, no glossy) which might be their interlude -- or it might be a consolation prize for them having to wait so long to get their first mailing after the Prologue. Mailing 5: Bonus Chapter, KS exclusive The evidence bag and flash drive, that was the last thing we received -- Gold and Diamond got this. The flash drive does not meet the description of the Chapter 3 artifact, which is supposed to be larger and mysterious. Mailing 6: Chapter 3 -- the mailing that includes the larger mysterious artifact, Gold and Diamond both get this and it will not be sent in a crate. This is the next mailing we are going to receive and it is just under 3 weeks overdue. I'm guessing this is when Bronze will finally get their crate -- they only get a single mailing and it comes in a crate, like Weeping Book does. According to the description, it is a mash-up of Chapters 1 and 3 plus the Chapter 3 artifact. Mailing 7: Chapter 4 -- Gold and Diamond both get this Mailing 8: Chapter 5 -- the Prestige crate -- Gold and Diamond both get this Mailing 9: Epilogue, special edition of C&C, KS exclusive -- Gold and Diamond both get this Mailing 10: Reveal Does that help?

I'm gold and I've only revived two official mailings so far. From the list above that would be mailing one and five. I also revived pages from mailing four, but based on the fact that it's not reflected on my account page and in a private email from curator about that it had been three months with nothing I believe it was a consolation object.
As for mailing 6 which will be my mailing 3 based on the updated timeline it's not due to go out until the 31st. So whether or not an item with an estimated date can be overdue is up for debate but I'm optimistic that from here on out with most version now being on the same content there will be less issues.

Thanks. Jeez they've made this confusing!

As a corollary -- I can verify that Black Friday Century Beast have currently received:
Prologue Chapter 1 Chapter 2 (with amulet)
No interlude, or KS exclusive. Although I received a message that the next mailing had been shipped.

I have the KS experience and haven't received word that anything has been shipped. Others?
Since the Curator made a commitment that the KS subscribers would finish CB a month ahead of the Black Friday purchasers, maybe that means the most recent KS mailing really was Chapter 3, despite us thinking that the non-paper item wasn't mysterious or elaborate enough to fit the description for Chapter 3. And now they're sending Chapter 3 to the Black Friday CB'ers?
I mean, what's going out to the Black Friday crowd can't be something the KS people haven't gotten yet, the Curator made a commitment to us that we would stay a month ahead. And if our last mailing was actually Chapter 3, then the Bonus Chapter becomes a logjam where the Black Friday people would need to go 8 weeks between mailings -- unless The Curator is planning to let Black Friday catch up so we all finish at the same time? Which would mean the Curator going back on his word in a big way.
A. Big. Way.
This is quite disheartening.

It's really just confusing, and perhaps meant to be so.

Confusing, yes. But commitments were made to the KS backers and I certainly will be extremely angry if, after all the f-ups and delays, the KS backers end up not even having the time advantage we were promised.
Maybe the Black Friday CBer's are getting their Chapter 3 early because, well, they've had to wait ever-so long. I know that Gold-KS got comped the 'meat' of Chapter 2.
As a diamond backer, I wonder what we'll get as our 'comp' -- oh wait, there isn't anything to give us as a comp, we purchased the full package.
I was already unhappy -- we haven't gotten a mailing since the first week of February because the thing that doesn't seem like it should be Chapter 3 (because it's neither mysterious nor intricate) was lost in the mail. MPC does certainly seem to have a lot of trouble with the mail system. But his Curatorship assured me it would go out in tandem with the March 10 mailing on my KS-Diamond schedule (that has already been revised repeatedly). Oh wait, that would be the March 10 mailing that is now 3 weeks overdue.
That's not really a problem any more. My husband, for whom this was a gift, has long since lost interest. He does kind of resent my spending that kind of money on something so uncertain. But that's part of the charm of dealing with MPC. One needs to have disposable income, patience, and a 10- 12-week attention span to appreciate MPC. I wish I had known that when I purchased the KS. It would have been an important consideration in that decision.

I think that when your husband has all the pieces in front of him at the end, he might enjoy reviewing the mailings, and then opening the crate. That way he might be able to "reboot" the experience.

So I emailed the curator over the concerns and I believe he basically said that the one referred to as mailing 5 above is not chapter 3. He also said that the KS as a whole receive thier mailings well ahead of the black friday peoples, but he is not aware of a commitment to finish a month a head of them.

TELL HIS CURATORSHIP THAT HE MIGHT WANT TO CHECK HIS OWN KICKSTARTER UPDATE FROM Nov. 26 -- the one where he broke the news to his KS backers that CB would be sold on Black Friday: "Specifically:
The Century Beast is a six-mailing storyline, priced at $399.99, $50 more than the equivalent experience on the Kickstarter; It includes none of the Kickstarter-exclusive mailings. This means that those opting for our one-day promotion will not get the Interlude or the Newspaper Epilogue. The timing of the mailings is a full month later than Gold and above Kickstarter backers, ensuring that you shall receive the story and artifacts earlier than anyone else."He can change his mind all he wants, but the Kisckstarter descriptions and updates can never be deleted or edited. Shame on him. I mean, we already had to remind him about the KS-exclusive bonus chapter that seemed to have been omitted from the KS-exclusives. OK, well, it looks like we paid up to get our reveal later than the Black Friday crowd. I wish I had never gotten involved with this. ETA: Forgot the link: tinyurl.com/zqvn6lw

Not to upset you more but to me nothing about what you quoted or on the page actually commits to a guaranteed month between, only a statement of what the planned timing.

OK, fine, 'the timing of the mailings is a full month later' was based on the estimated mailing dates and, of course, we should have known better than to count on them. I didn't know that at the end of November, but you're right -- I should certainly recognize that kind of statement for what it is, particularly at this juncture. So, I'll ignore the month ahead part. But: If the Curator told you that the mailing with Mark Meer is not Chapter 3 (we already knew that it was likely the KS-exclusive bonus chapter) and Black Friday has had Prologue, Chapter 1, and Chapter 2 mailed, plus they already have a mailing advice for their next chapter (see Gallant's post, above) -- then Black Friday has Chapter 3 in the mail. That doesn't sound anything like "ensuring that you shall receive the story and artifacts earlier than anyone else" or the reply you got, that "KS as a whole receive their mailings well ahead of the black friday people."
Since the KS exclusives are now exhausted, except for the Epilogue, keeping apace from here means that Black Friday finishes the experience before KS. Or maybe 'KS as a whole' means getting only Chapter 5 'well ahead' of the Black Friday people -- and The Curator is planning one of those very long waits between chapters for Black Friday in order to make that happen. And, of course 'well ahead' is in the eye of the beholder.
I can just imagine that a couple months from now, someone will be writing to The Curator about not getting mailings 'well ahead' of the Black Friday crowd as promised, but it will turn out to be yet another, 'things change and I didn't really promise anything in the first place -- it was just a notion I had at the time and it's all just estimates and conjecture' kind of reply.

I am sorry to hear that these recent events have caused you such consternation, and I do hope that this will not outlast the experienc. After all, you were fairly enthusiastic in the beginning, and I am grateful for your work in setting up and tending to this part of the forums. So I hope that you - and your husband as well - can recapture some of that enjoyment when the final crate arrives and the Experience can be laid out in its entirety. As for the shipment of another mailing to the Black Friday members... Gallant, if you would be so kind, I am curious about this; I am lucky to be blessed with the most patient recipient I could ask for, so the delays do not really bother me, but it does seem curious that the most recent Experiences would be fulfilled before the ones already somewhat overdue. Does your detailed order page on the Mysterious Package Company website reflect that mailing four out of seven has been shipped? Or do you see a different total of shipments? Also, and I have been dying to know this for weeks, did your current shipment come with tracking information? I apologize for the inquisition, but you seem to be the sole representative of The Black Friday People around.

Sorry for the delay in response. Work has been demanding of late.
My detailed order page on MPC does show that mailing 4 of 7 was shipped out April 1st, 2016. It was shipped out via standard post, and does not have a tracking detail.
We have not received it, unsurprisingly, but I expect it soon. So far the shipments have taken less than two weeks to make it from Canada to Atlanta, GA.
My wife hasn't lost interest. She was able to determine it was similar to an AR Game, but thinks the amulet was the story's payoff and "big prize," not knowing that it was me that got it for her, or that it was a significant purchase.
I posted the shipping advice because I hadn't seen any of the KS folks mention having their chapter 4 shipped.
I wonder if MPC will be juggling the intended content for the Black Friday CB folks, since it took about ten weeks between the prologue and chapter 1.
I plan on updating you all here upon receipt of the next mailing.
