I’m sure you all have International Cryptex Day marked on your calendars, but in the unlikely event that you forgot, I thought I should send you a reminder that this wonderful holiday takes place on March 1st!
Just like last year, we at Cryptex Security Boxes have assembled some of the top puzzle designers, programmers and puzzle hunt coordinators in the universe (including Darren Miller – Project Lead, Rita Orlov, Shannon McDowell, Logan Giannini, Ariel Rubin, Juliana Patel, David Lewis, Sarah Willson, Errol Elumir and last year’s Cryptex Hunt winner Colin Sanders) and have put together the second annual Cryptex Hunt – Cryptex Magazine for you to enjoy!
While last year’s hunt took place in an online MUD (Multi User Dungeon), this year’s hunt will be presented in the form of an online magazine – Cryptex Magazine! All puzzles will be cleverly hidden within the pages of this special periodical. Cryptex Hunt 2019 will be a little less daunting than last year and you won’t need to slog through the MUD to participate.
This year we are excited to team up with ClueKeeper (www.cluekeeper.com), the world’s finest platform for creating and playing location-based clue hunts (although the Cryptex Hunt can be played anywhere) and participants will be able to quickly and easily enter their solutions to the puzzles through this free to download platform. The Cryptex Hunt will also be free to download and play.
No International Cryptex Day would be complete without Cryptex presents, so we will be giving away a specially designed Bolivian Rosewood Nevins Line Cryptex® Security Box (estimated value $2000) to the first registered account to complete the entire hunt without any hints.
But since we know some of you may have lives and can’t drop everything for an online puzzle hunt, we will also be having a random draw for a second standard Cryptex® Security Box (plus maybe some other prizes as well) from the pool of eligible entries who complete the entire hunt by Midnight March 31st, 2019. Also, anyone who completes the hunt within this time frame who wishes to purchase their own Cryptex® Security Box will be able to do so and receive a $35 discount.
If this has piqued your interest, be sure to check out the Cryptex Hunt website at www.cryptexhunt.com and www.cluekeeper.com to get started. Remember, the hunt begins on March 1st, 2019 at 9:00pm Eastern time (6:00pm Pacific Time)!
Good Puzzle Hunting and Good Luck!
